IE is still corporate default, so web designers HAVE to design for it.
I havent used IE in a long while , but newer versions arent near as far off of FF/CHrome as people think

Less then 20% of the world users Internet Explorer now and it is dropping rapidly. My boss doesn't want us wasting time on IE6 and for IE7 we simply redirect them to a download link for Firefox and Chrome..
Yes, newer versions are indeed far off from Firefox and Chrome until Microsoft ditches trident.
