~~How do I enter a town/city/village?~~ lol nvm I was being a scrub, figured it out.

Click on the village then click on "Enter <village_name>", down left corner. You need to be close though.

yep thanks man. Question for you...action menu will be different once I enter my chosen location? Or basically what I am asking is hwo do I begin with the crafting and recruiting and etc etc

Yeah it will give you options to craft or beg for coin and shit like this once you're inside.
