Suggestion: Optional Equipment Usage

If you're enlisting to fight under an army, there should be an option to use your equipment, or to use the army commander's equipment.

I like it, but I think strat commander should pay some sort of fee for the mercenary gear, but still keep it more profitable than actually buying that gear.

well, when it comes down to it, someone had to work for the gear, and it would be optional, so I don't think it would matter

So you would use the gear from your army?

If so that would be highly aboozable. You have a friendly clan with a dozen guys with 49 man armies decked to the nines sitting safe in town and you march around with a lightly armed group and attack things. The defense thinks very little of the threat and then when you go into battle there are 20 dudes in +3 full plate with +3 swords of war chopping everything into little chunks of flesh.

It just wouldn't work unfortunately, it would break the current dynamic and allow for a fair bit of abuse. Even if you limited it to 1 ticket worth of your selected gear that could be some insanely maxed out stuff.
