Which ranged weapon got the best ''range''?

What i'm wondering is which ranged weapon is best for long distances? I'd say it stands between Longbow and Arbalest so therefore i'm wondering which one of those is the best one for long range shooting?

I had some nice shots with the Long Bow. Slow draw, taking some time to aim but the range is very nice. Sure I could do range shots with the Rus Bow as well but afaik the arrows always dropped a bit eariler.

Not sure about the arbalest but as it is a sniping weapon (when loomed) it really has a nice range and depending on your pc and your zoom (and what you see in far range) it should be a good weapon for longer shots.

If you want the longbow to be good then you'll need to wear the least armor possible, so I vote other bow. I can't speak for the arbalest.

Arbalest, for sure. It's a crossbow, therefore its accuracy doesn't go away like a bows as you hold it drawn/aimed. The Long Bow takes a long time to draw, and you also don't have a very long time to aim at something compared to other bows because of it's draw time and required Power Draw.

Doesn't your Power Draw level have an effect on the arc of your arrows? Like if you had a Long Bow an PD:6 the exact same shot would have a different trajectory than if you had PD:10?

The easiest would be the arbalest in my opinion. You can take your time to aim without losing accuracy, and your bolt will go much farther than any thrown weapon.

Yep; it makes arrows shoot faster, therefore letting you shoot further.

Throwing is the best ranged, why? Simply because it's entertaining even if you fail to kill anyone.

i'm thinking longbow, crossbow bolts dont travel as far or straight. but I haven't played a high level archer for years.

But that build is a lvl 30+ one i bet. And MW looms. I'd personally say between a +0 Longbow and Arba i'll go Arba.

People ignore the Heavy Crossbows capabilities because they don't take the time to actually use it, but in my opinion it is way more accurate than the arbalest because of the slight arc you get. Headshots with arbalests are ridiculously difficult compared to the heavy xbow because of the flat trajectory. For super long distances, perhaps the arba is better, but it's just inferior to the heavy xbow from long to short distances.
