Playing from the same IP

My brother and I have two copies of M&B and would like to play crpg from the same IP.  Is this possible?  When we tried we got tons of lag and one of us would get booted from the server.

One of you gets kicked from the server because you're trying to connect to the server using the same cd key ( I bet, that is the same as in WoW I guess).
That is of course not possible.
If you want to play with more than one account from one IP you obviously need to buy a second warband key and also activate the different keys on your different pcs (regedit or steam).

and dont forget your characters are bound to one cdkey as well as the crpg accounts/forum accounts are.

and answer in http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,18515.0.html once both of you have an account

Is it the exact same IP or just within the same range of each other? No 2 computers should have the exact same IP when they are on the same network, that just causes issues from the get go.

Rhalzo's already in Chaos' cooler older brother clan, he's fine riding his motorcycle around in a leather jacket smoking cigarettes with GIRLS, our little treehouse isn't his speed anymore.

You are making a confusion between local ip, and internet ip.
Local ip is only seen by your router and choosen by your Computer.
Internet ip is provided by your internet provider, and is the same for the whole home , unless you have ipv6
But anyway , most of website and server still recognize you only through your ipv4

My brother and I live in the same house hold (share the same internet connection/IP) and we have no issues, I think if you both are wanting to play STRAT you have to post somewhere to let the devs know that you have more than one person playing at the same house hold but I'm not 100% sure on that, I think I remember being told to post somewhere but really I'm not sure so hopefully someone else can clarify. I think you should both be fine playing cRPG though.

If you try to join the same server at the EXACT same time it will most likely freeze, at least it does that for us. We have to take turns entering servers, other than that absolutely no issues. (to further explain, yes we can both be on the same server at the same time but when trying to join at the exact same time we both freeze :P)

Anyway hope I've been slightly helpful !

Thanks!  That makes sense, we only tried to get onto duel before we gave up.  Maybe siege/battle will work.  I didn't think it made a difference.

I think you're both using the same key, check the registry.
If both computers use the same key, then when you connect someone who is already using that key will be kicked. So if one of u got kick every time right after connecting the second - the case in the key. If it is not, how we say in Russia, this is nevedoma hu*nia  :P

Try to get the log and see why you get kicked from server.
To get the log after you get kicked , both disconnect , and the one who got kicked must go to a server , then press L

How can you check what key your game is using?  We deleted the old M+B files from his steam.
