Transfer menu needs to work like the buy menu

The transfer menu should be rolled into the existing sell menu ("Your equipment list").


Let me fill in the columns with the items I want to transfer and then, rather than hit "sell", I can fill in a drop-down box that says who I want to transfer it all to and then I click "Transfer" (you may want to add a confirmation box to "sell" while you're at it).


It's practically a full time job playing Quartermaster in Strategus, getting items transferred because I have to do it item by item.  If it worked like the sell menu it would be way, way easier.

The transfer menu should work similar to the buy menu --

List:
[number of items] [name of item] [amount you want to transfer]

...then the [transfer to] field and click-to-transfer.

I've never had to do this up until yesterday.  I had about 20 equipment items to transfer to another person, it was like pulling out my own teeth with a tweezers...why is this so difficult and un-user friendly?  I didn't even care about how much of the equip I transferred, so luckily for me I just was able to type 111 for the equipment number and it transferred all of it.  Can't believe how much longer it would have took if I had to scroll down every time to see the exact number to transfer, sucks having to click "transfer" every time you want to transfer again.

I feel sorry for people trying to organize an army.  Didn't realize it took an hour just to get your equipment setup.  I could see a rather large army equip taking a lot longer (or having two people trying to coordinate with each other).

At least I have the Eye Candy script to help me out. For those who don't know; clicking on the image of the item puts automatically the number and item into the transfer box-thingie.

try dealing with full armies and having to do this multiple times a week, seriously nightmarish, been much complained about

literally can take over an hour of just clicking 1 item at a time and reloading to make a 1k army from a big garrison

If anyone was doing a UI overhaul of Strategus, separating the equipment lists by type would be good too.  e.g.:

Two-handers
----------------
76 German Greatsword
32 Battle Axe
97 Axe

Polearms
------------
48 Long Spear
82 Long War Axe

(etc)


This is for displaying inventories.

Good luck with that, I haven't seen a developer acknowledge strategus' existence since at least Nov or Oct of last year.

Bump because really, this is still the #1 most annoying thing about Strategus.

Simple inventory management can take an hour or more just because the transfer interface really, really sucks.

It needs to work like the buy/sell menu rather than individually clicking transfers 1 by 1.

I have updated my original post to say "sell menu" rather than "buy menu".


It occurred to me that this issue should be pretty easy for someone to code up because the interface you need is already there -- "Your equipment list", aka, the sell menu.

In fact, that menu could get double-use.  At the bottom, in addition to the "sell equipment" button, you could steal from the existing transfer menu to have "Send to [drop down list]".



Really I bet it's less than 30 minutes of work since the "Your equipment list" is already there and is most of what we need.
