upkeep is a joke - i use my full gear setup all the time, sometimes even with a sniper xbow for the lols.

I regularly play both NA servers and EU servers, and am willing to play on any of the other servers if need be,

Throwing weapons and arrows/bolts easily kills primarily naked players like me. So either lower the plate repair cost so I can actually use it or remove the ranged weapons and nerf 90% of the weapons. Your choice.

Use a shield?  It's generally more useful against ranged attacks than armour, especially thrown weapons.
