Many things being discussed here seem to be adressed to the general balance in rageball and the score system. Regarding that Ill just say rageball needs a lot of tweaks to find true balance, which shouldnt be suprising at all as its a fairly new gamemode.

On topic though I agree that carrying a weapon should be enforced. Just today there was a teammate behind an enemy ball carrier but had no weapon. Even with a cudgel he would have been able to reach him but couldnt do so with his fists. The problem is even if carrying a weapon would be enforced by rules those people would just carry practice daggers or similar weapons as a work around. If there is no rule that describes of what length a weapon has to be it wont show any impact I guess.

Goalie getting points for being too late should be fixed next patch along with some other stuff. I'm open for suggestions concerning what else should give points. But it shouldn't be exploitable like for example points for successful passes or stuff like that would be. Just in case if the individual score actually gets linked to gold/xp handout someday. Killing an enemy close to the ball(if it is in play) might be ok.

Fixed the rethrow timer so accidently throwing the ball when trying to active catch should be no issue anymore. Maybe I'll slow down the ball a bit but I'm unsure if scoring won't be too hard then with the new throw delay+animation and goalie dive(if cmp gievs accelerate_agent operation). Still can't get my head around the occasional quantum tunneling of the ball through props though.

Im no score hunter but now that you have mentioned it Paul, points for stunning/killing enemies close to the teams ball carrier or the ball ( maybe 5 m ) would be nice. Also I think killing the enemy ball carrier deserves more points than just hitting him.

I'm fine with the naked part, you sacrifice armor for mobility, and are still usefull. But the "i won't bother paying upkeep when others are paying it for me, let's loot.", i do have problems.

Which is exactly how it was before the rule change, since spawning with a no upkeep peasant weapon was always perfectly fine.

If there's no range, where's the rage ?
With same equipement for everyone, this would be football, no rageball.
And since cudgel is a 1h melee weapon, guess who will be favored :
Agi builds (you can't catch me, you don't have range) and 1h wpf PS builds.

So, no thanks.

I didnt even consider the situation of spawning with a 0 upkeep weapon.

Why is it fair for some guys to pay over 1k for their weapons, when others can just loot the same weapon, use it, drop it, and not pay?
