Strategus battles / sieges

Hi, I have a question about Strategus battles. I signed up for a few recent battles / sieges that took place via the c-rpg.net website, I got accepted. I showed up right on time when the battle was about to take place (preperation phase) and I checked the website I was still marked as "accepted by (enter team name here)". Once the battle started I'm throwin into spectator mode and unable to join the actual battle. Same has happened to many people that get thrown into spectator mode and we share the confusion in chat.

So what is it? Is there a limit to how many soldiers a team could have? I know I wasn't removed by the leader of the team because I checked the very last minute that I was accepted for sure.

This has happened several times, not just once, to several people, not just me.

Usually if you get accepted, you must check the "Briefing" page to see if there's teamspeak/vent info.

Failure to join TS/Vent will almost always result in you getting removed at the last minute and replaced by someone they know is present.

That said, the current Strategus invite system is weaksauce.  It shouldn't lock the roster just because the battle has started -- that's usually the point where you find out for sure who isn't going to show up, and some people who were waiting could be let in.
Crush your enemies; see them driven before you; hear the lamentations of their women.

I was recently accepted to AI defense the other day, and didn't check back but later learned that I was removed.  I'm guessing that had to do with me being level 7, but it was still pretty lame.
Holy crap I have a youtube gaming channel! https://www.youtube.com/user/MrShine12345

All right thanks for the information. I'll check briefing more often, that could of been the reason.

And no, I make sure I'm at least above lvl 25 before applying to strat battles, I know people don't want to waste their resources on lvl 1-20 troops.

If you're signing up for the AI, be sure to leave your requested gold at 0 too.  I'm not sure if it's still an issue but back in the beginning of this version of strat I thought you had to request 1 gold and was never getting hired, even when signing up early at high level.  There were a lot of village defenses where the defenders were outnumbered 2:1 even though a lot of people tried to sign up.

The captains of npc fiefs are total dicks and their castles/towns need to be taken away from them.
