Ok, I'm sure this has been brought up before... but I think there should be some better way for one's Alts to receive some gold.  I have two suggestions below.  Suggestion 1 has two options... and "A" & "B".  I personally think Suggestion 2 is the better & easier option.  But I'll start out with #1 nonetheless.

Reason for this

Before I start off on the Suggestions... let me briefly tell why I personally would like to see Alts make money more easily.  And I'm sure many others will have the same reasons as I do.

Not being able to sell a loom point makes an Alt (that uses decent gear) have to periodically go into a peasant grind to make some decent money.  And having to peasant grind for such long periods really forces folks to either give up on the game... or simply give up on their Alt.  Both suck!

Also, not being able to use the Marketplace with an Alt... you are forced to sell items you no longer use (or like) at the low Shop value (I believe 50% of Shop cost).  If you could use the Market, you'd be able to get more of a profit out of your sell.  Not to mention, you'd be able to buy items cheaper (saving money).

Several different nights... I've personally wasted thousands on buying armor... seeing it looks stupid... and then selling it for 50% of it's cost.  I'm just throwing money away.  And before you question why I just don't stick with a good armor regardless of it's looks... hold up, hold up... if you don't look sexy... why play!!!   8-)   :P

The point I'm trying to make is... Alts have a much much harder time saving up decent amounts of gold compared to Mains.  If you want to use good gear on your Alt... it's basically many times harder to keep positive funds for your Alt.  Periodically you are going to have to go peasant and grind away to put a little money up... just to play as your decently equipped character.  Something you don't have to do with a Main... cause you can sell loom points, as well as buy/sell in the marketplace.

Suggestion 1

Basically set up the website where you can directly transfer funds from your Main to your Alts.  This can work two ways, each discussed below.

Option A

Each Alt can receive a set amount of gold per week (or daily if the leadership so chooses).  This amount can vary.  But let's say 10k per week can be received by each Alt.  So the Main can send as much money out as he wants (meaning to as many Alts as we wants)... but each Alt can only receive 10k gold per week.

Option B

Set the limit so the Main can only give out so much gold per week.  Let's say 20k per week (again, this number can vary).  So each week, the Main can give up to 20k to which ever Alt(s).  He can give just a single Alt 20k.  Or he can split it up among many Alts.  But once the main has give away 20k gold in a weeks period... he can give no more.

Suggestion 2

Simply allow Alts to participate in the Market!  This will allow Alts to sell their loom point, thus earning them money.  Then there should be no need for a Main to have to give money over.  And I think this option is better because it still makes folks work to get money.  You still have to get your Alt to lvl 31 to sell your loom point.  And it be nice to get a pay day if one so chooses.

Finally Thoughts

So what do you guys think?  Should I just shut up and go to bed?!   :P

First off, +1 for the subject reference (if you're referring to that commercial).

As someone who has is relatively wealthy cRPG-wise this would serve to benefit me.  However I think the concerns are related to general balance and such.  I'm not smart enough to figure out the possible exploits, but I think some exist if alts were able to use the market.  You could essentially funnel gold/items to your main as well, something that I personally don't have a problem with but it seems clear the devs feel differently.
Holy crap I have a youtube gaming channel! https://www.youtube.com/user/MrShine12345

  Just glad someone got it!!!

Oh yeah, didn't think about this.  Allowing Alts to use the Marketplace... one could buff his Main... thus affecting Strategus!

Still, even if the Marketplace suggestion is out... I don't see how a Main directly giving money to an Alt could affect Strategus... so why not add that in!

Here's why I personally would like to see it.  With my Main... I can sell a Loom Point and make 500k.  Now I can basically wear the best armor (plate or similar) and use the best weapons without having to worry about upkeep for hundreds of games.

Now there's no option like that for an Alt.  Many folks enjoy there Alts just as much, if not more than their Mains. And being able to enjoy multiple characters (main & alts)... I believe it will expand the lifespan of a cRPG gamer.  Meaning folks will stick around longer... cause they won't get as bored, when they can enjoy playing multiple characters (switching it up every so often).

And since only Mains can be used in Strategus... I can't see how directly financially buffing our Alts would negatively effect Strategus.
