Longsword or HBS?

Just a quick question and more opinions may help me.

Personally I prefer to use greatswords, but I have a friend who uses the smaller 2he and I look at all the stats real indepth and the difference between these two swords is almost unnoticeable.

But it seems like the longsword is more popular than the HBS and I ask why is this?

They are almost identical in stats except the longsword has 1 more range and 1180 more cost, the HBS has same damage 1 less length but 2.0 instead of 1.8 weight. Now I believe weight is real important here is it not? I'm going to say I would value that weight over that 1 length, and the cost reduction is also nice.

Longsword prettier.

They already have it before it was nerfed.
The world is split in two categorie.
The one digging, and the one with the loaded crossbow.

But never forget that the one digging, got a big shovel.

I personally prefer the HBS over the longsword as the model feels better to me. Umm the .2 weight on HBS is said to help it glance less than the longsword but I've never noticed it. Really it comes down to which model you like and if you want to pay more the longsword which doesnt have a sheath so it looks lame while sheathed.

Great question - they're about the same, so save yourself 50 gold or whatever if you want.

What high weight does do for sure though, you'll get block-stunned less, especially blocking axes, bardiches, and even heavy swords like nodachis and greatswords.  I'm sure you've felt what happens when you block a Great Long Axe with a Scottish Sword, and its kind of cool that they implemented some things that feel natural with a little imagination... suggesting you did actually block that axe's haft and not the blade, haha.

HBS

+1! It works great, and allows your armour to be 1K more expensive for practically the same performance.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.

Definitely HBS. Although cRPG is obviously a fashion show, so if you like the look of the longsword better, go for it. I personally like the look of the HBS. But I'm merely a piece of nicely cooked bacon, so what would I know?

Longsword if you want bling-bling. Now it's even better, 'cause of teh sheath.

Really, paying 1.2k more for 1(ONE!) point in range is only for someone who want to only look betr.

Considering you're also losing weight it's not the best trade-off I've seen.
