Siege Realism

Hey,

1- Stone launch speed is too high, its not realistic. Its not damage or nerf change suggestion. Only visual quality. Its fly like bullet, when go slowly its looks verry good(like real world).

2- When stone hit the wall its effect on camera shake and more noise. Its makes more realisttic game and fun.

3- Catapults are easy to kill with arrow. Arrow damage must decrease on catapults but if this ok; we need big arbalest on castle towers for kill a catapult.
Like this: Its can build with construction material and its can more damage for catapult, siege tower, etc.

4- Fire shots need. For arrow and catapult and siege arbalest. I want to see fall burning soldiers  (im not evil, its only more realistic and fun :) )

5- We need this. Its only works on gatehouse. Not work on the walls. When this tool get front the gatehouse, start working automatic.

I know this suggestions hard to implement but its only suggestion.

Sorry for Eng.

All decent suggestions, but my +1 vote is because you felt the need to publicly declare to all that you are not evil :P (And for a M2TW pic. Love that game.)

Rams are nice; but it would add a very unfair advantage to the attacking side - as after a successful breakdown of the gate and continuous attack to the walls, no castle or city can survive.

Fire arrows could also be nice. It should have lesser damage to the soldiers (as it fucks up the metal-triangle-thingy-up-front) but may have a higher damage on siege equipment?

Fire arrows wouldn't be added due to the particle effects killing FPS for players

Aurora makes me grab a shield every game!

That alone doesn't seem like a great reason to me. Particle effects can be easily turned off for those that it causes problems for. I've never noticed a big problem from them, and my computer is hardly a supercomputer.

me too... not have problem about particle effects but this game engine is not efficient, i have strong computer (dx11 graphic card, i7 cpu, 8gb ram) but play this game 60-65°C cpu temperature and play skyrim, crysis 3, etc. 50-55°C cpu temperature. this game needs more LoD step.

But do you get 100+ players on a screen in those games?

Flaming arrows would be good for ladders/catapults, and other siege equipment (forward spawns, etc), but they shouldn't have any effect on people (IMO), other than base damage.  No damage over time.

decrease arrow's dmg dealed to catapult +1. ATM few archers can destroy catapult before it make 2 shots.

Fire arrows, yes, but under few conditions. Siege towers were very hard to put them on fire (they were covered with fresh animals skins, and we can see it on a model of our siege towers) Fire arrows could make bigger dmg only to all siege equipment expect siege tower, not to melee.

Archer forever :D

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.
