Strategus Guide, anyone?

Hey there guys, I've been playing c-rpg for a while, but just now getting into strat. I've been wondering how in the world you do anything, like getting gold (other than getting xp/gold ticks through servers) and gaining recruits (every town I click on says 0 recruits.  ).
I don't know if there's a strat guide out there somewhere or not, but I was just wondering if I could get someone to explain to me how things I work I guess. I understand that you are able to trade, take fiefs, etc. but how in the world do you do all this stuff (and what does waiting in a fief do?)? Thanks.

Individuals have no place on the map. Battles, are a different thing.

Yea, i'm part of Legion of Nicea, which is fairly decent size, and i just wanted to know basics and such. Thanks for the link though Jarlek, i'll check it out.
