This may have been mentioned elsewhere but it's late  :P

So my ping usually sits at around 30-50 ish, perfectly fine, but it frequently (as in every minute at least) spikes to over 500 for no reason, is this a known problem? Any fixes?

Sometimes the most trivial stuff can do wonders.

Stuff like resetting and restarting the modem/router until it's back in track for an example. My ping is awesome again at least on pingtest.net.

Go to pingtest/speedtest, run a test to your closest spot, and send the pictures of your results.
