'Bonus against shield' bonus.

I have a question about the 'bonus against shield' bonus.

Does it deal a moderate amount of % hp dmg more to the shield, or does it avoid the armour stat on the shield?

Because, the huscarl has loads of hitpoints, but only 19 armour. The steel shield has fewer hit points, but 69 armour.

It deals double damage to shields as far as I know, meaning high HP is a lot more important than high armour vs bonus to shields weapons.

The problem is even if you are number 1 in NA you are still only number 467 in EU or the worst in AUS(number 17)

That doesn't make sense. Then i don't see the point of a steel shield. Obviously a axe cuts faster trough wood than trough steel?

+ the steel shield costs 2 shield points more.

Nah, a steel shield will still survive more hits from an axe than a huscarl shield, whilst being near immune to hits from swords and such.

For example, a 1 handed axe (broad axe) kills a huscarl shield as fast as it kills a buckler (which has far less hitpoints than a steel shield). But a buckler will survive far more hits from swords than a huscarl, whilst probably dying to just a couple from a 2h axe (great axe).

And i'm not sure if the speed is normal? The huscarl is bigger, while the steel shield is smaller. And the huscarl is faster.

Or are steel shields actually heavy? Never seen one before.

Sheilds have armor and HP like players do.

The only way to do significant damage to a well armored shield is with high damage hits.
The steel shield basically has plate armor so cutting attacks will have something like the first 15 points of damage absorbed.

I have a char with 8 shield skill. I use Steel Shield. I tested it a bit. Player with 8 PS and German sword had to hit my shield about 100 times to... Make my shield's picture (above HUD) 'break' 1 time.

It's basically a choice whether you want a shield that is invulnerable to most weapons but breaks easier to shieldbreakers; or if you want a shield that can be broken by anything but will survive for quite a while even vs. Shieldbreakers
