I would tell you to aim for the legs but Katana is kinda short for that especially if you're trying to dehorse some heavy 1H cav (you'll either get bumped by their huge horse or get killed because their sword has more reach on horse than your Katana).

Health is okay, espacially with the lower, unarmored horses. One mistake and your horse is dead in most cases.
But like casimir said, sometimes your horse goes down after one arrow and sometimes not even hits from melee guys can bring it down.

Yeah. I wouldn't put much stock to Murphy's ramblings. 99% of what he says can easily be ignored at the best of times.

But I have to admit it does get mildly annoying when you score to solid hits on a horse and he doesn't die or stop.

horses without armour health reduced, but horses with armour increased, that way its more realistic, and a courser can't run at full speed with two +2 javs in its head and one in its arse.

thank you

Despite every counter argument we can think of...

Two 31 p stabs to an arabian, the arabian lives. Nerf horse health.

Health of average horse:

100hp

31p + 6PS (average +/- amount of PS) = 31p * 148% ~~ 46p

Say that horse was hit without any positive nor negative bonuses:

100hp - 2 * 46p = 100hp - 92 = 8 hp left.

Note, I COMPLETELY ignore armor damage reduction, speed bonus and other aspects of damage calculation.

:)

EDIT

Sorry for double post, thought I was editing.
