It has been a long ride, but every knows this wasn't going to last forever with the constant problems inside the clan and outside as well. Those members who still wanted to remain and be a part of RS I applaud you, but no one else here is active enough to keep this going as myself, so I guess this is goodbye. Read the main post if you want more.

It was a great, great run we had. We started with 6 people, as one of the very first NA clans. We never had a status as an obscure clan, we were well known, and liked or hated from the start. With the best players in the game, one of the first nations in strategus, and our frequent mercenary work, everybody in the cRPG world knew who the Remnants were. I'm sad to see the clan end, but I'm glad to have made the friends I did in RS. See you guys in-game, no matter where you end up.

I wouldn't give up on RS; we're too stubborn to fade away. We've had problems, and we've pulled ourselves out of them. We'll be fine.

I've seen the RS members fight and speak. You all seem like cool people and you're definitely welcome in Acre. Sad to see RS disbanded though...

 In response, RS has not been disbanded. A core group of players in RS however, interested in playing a role in strategus, reformed into a structured branch geared towards strategus.

Yes, but wasn't the main idea of a reform to make the original RS better. IE getting rid of players that are not active and are a burden. The reform was suppose to work us up to be allowing us to participate in events like Strategus seriously without breaking ties.

A good chunk of the RS members who were interested in pursuing Strategus seriously when it is restored decided to form a branch clan called Chaos. Essentially, it means that they have left the clan; however, they are still our friends and very close allies. You can consider Chaos the Strategus-oriented side of RS, and RS the non-Strategus-oriented side.

Since Chaos will still be using Steam Chat and the same TS channel as RS, not much is changing. The formation of Chaos allows the Strategus-interested members of RS to pursue their own interests without dragging Strategus-uninterested members into their politics and affairs. From what I can tell, they will be very serious about Strategus, which is why they went so far as to create their branch clan.

Of course, we will all hang out as usual, so from a casual perspective nothing is changing. But RS will not be required to participate in Strategus (we will simply be mercenaries, as we pretty much are) as Chaos will. What will probably end up happening is that Chaos will preferentially hire RS members to fight as mercenaries in their Strategus battles.

It would be helpful if RS members who plan to stay in RS let Socrates or myself know, preferably in this thread.
