Two handed throwing weapon

There are a number of 1-handed throwing weapons (all the axes) and polearm throwing weapons (all the spear-types) but there are no 2-handed throwing weapons -- that is, a throwing weapon that uses 2-hand skill when alt-wielded.

I would like to have one.

In the spirit of the Throwing Spear, I would suggest the Two Handed Throwing Axe.  I'm thinking PT 6, 2 per bundle.  As with all throwing weapons, it's pretty ghetto when alt-wielded but at least it uses your two handed wpf.

I'd love to think of an appropriate PT 3 two-handed throwing weapon but "a big axe" or "a big hammer" is the only thing that comes to mind and I would think that has to be at least PT 5 or 6.

I think it would be completely awesome to have some two-handed weapons with an alt-fire throw option.

COMPLETELY impractical for personal use, but imagine picking a spear up off the battlefield and chucking it.

Something like Assassins Creed Brotherhood/Revelations where you can throw a complete sword. That would be awesome.

They would have to do them as throwing weapons with two-handed alt-fire mode so that the power throw requirement applies.

If they were able to make alt-fire modes on regular weapons that turned them into throwing weapons, but only worked if you had the PT requirement, that would be pretty awesome.  The two handed swords already have alt-fire (polearm mode) but the axes and hammers could be thrown...

Really they could take two approaches to thrown weapons:

Currently, throwing weapons are great for throwing and bad for melee.

Why not have a second set that's great for melee and bad for throwing?  Like a weapon that's statistically identical to the Great Axe when used in melee, requires PT 6 but can be thrown?  It's kind of like saying "this is just a normal battle axe, but you CAN throw it if you have the skill".

Alternatively I guess they could just allow anyone to throw anything, it's just that with PT 0 and 1 throwing wpf you aren't going to hit anything or do any damage....

ANYway, I really just want one usable throwing weapon that alt-fires into two-handed wpf.

Anything beyond that is just gravy.

(Next up: throwing shields.  Oh come on.  You know you want to see an archer get hit in the face with a thrown shield.)

And I would like a woomera to be added in to chuck those spears like a pro but I don't see it happening.

Would be a cool alt to the throwing lance. Giant shield raping axe.

Some people wish to throw their weapons. That seems foolish to M'aiq. If you hold your weapon, you only need one.

This is a good idea beyond the ridiculous the possibilities for balance are pretty decent.

Potentially throwing lances could get the power they deserve but a substantial nerf as well.

It does pave the way for some good ideas for instance boulders for siege maps awful accuracy and range but decent damage and low or no PT required. Cannot be purchased but spawn for defenders. I even visualised buckets of spears for attackers a similar deal to the boulders.
PK is back

PK is a collection of elites from throughout modern and ancient history. Giants of Calradia individually, as a group these gods of combat shatter all expectations and ascend to a higher plain of victory that only a few have seen before.
