retiring after lvl 32

I propose that if a player decides to retire after lvl 32 or higher, they should get heirloom points based on the amount of experience points, i.e.

8.7 million is one heirloom = one generation
17.4 mill is two loom points
34.8 mill is four loom points, etc.

Does anyone agree with this.

yeah but lvl 33 is like grinding to lvl 32 twice, so I think it should be 4 loom points, like 4 generations worth of exp.

If experience gained over the retirement cap was credited (as stated in the first post), I would very much consider retiring my 32 character.

Bad Idea. Now you have to choose, retire at 31 and get looms (or sell it) or go 32+. If you decide to go higher than level 31 you sacrifice your ability to get heirlooms. And if you reconsider again you sacrifice your high level and still get only 1 loompoint. This makes very much sense to me and should not be changed.

I think it would be nice to get like 2 heirloom points at like lvl 33 or halfway from 33 to 34, can't see much reason to go past that since EXP is much easier to acquire at higher levels.

I think that there are better options for a post-31 retirement. My inclination is for a 4th heirloom level past MasterWork, attainable at level 34 and can't be bought/sold on the market.

How about a compromise?

Make retirement cost 8m XP + 50% of your remaining XP.

So retiring from lvl 31 (8.7m XP) costs 8.35m XP and will start you again at lvl 15ish
from lvl 32 (~17.5m XP) costs 12.75m XP and will start you again at lvl 30
from lvl 33 (~35m XP) costs 21.5m XP and will start you again at level 31

Overall this would mean
- less time spent as a peasant for frequent retirers (we're only talking a few hours but those first few levels are really crap to grind out)
- retiring early is still the most cost effective
- retiring later costs more but you don't have to grind out all those low levels again and can continue using your good gear with a level 30+ build
- retiring stills costs more than respeccing although I would reduce the respec cost to 25% to keep it as the much cheaper option.

Yeah, I would retire for Leshma's Danish Greatsword :D

Imagine that, you die early and some pro dude pick up your own weapon with your name on it and kill 15 people in one round.

OP's idea not bad, 8 loom points in one go, sure sounds sweet.

I was pretty sure that chadz or another dev mentioned that this may happen some months ago. Would be cool.
