could this be the reason why im getting "connection lost" all the time?

Run the cRPG launcher every time you start the game and it will work.

It goes away when you enter a game. I don't need no script extender!

I noticed that I was not able to access my german poleaxe's secondary pierce mode when I didn't run the game through the extender.

You can use it, you just don't see it.
