I can hardly remember opening this thread, but I guess what I had in mind was giving 2 directional weapons the ability to chamber sideswings.
Due to the turnspeed nerf, circling opponents with "2d" weapons with high ath can lead to benny hill moments, which is silly. Giving 2 directional a passive counter such as chambering sideswings would be nice. I think the stab would be most reasonable for such a mechanic as it is neither unrealistic and is a fun refreshment for gameplay, nor would it render 2d weapons OP IMO.
