ok thanks for the info - when u say +30 u mean 3% + 0.3% or something?

It's +3%/generation.

At x1:

Gen1 - 1000 xp
Gen2 - 1030 xp
Gen3 - 1060 xp
Gen4 - 1090 xp
etc.

And the cap is at 1450 xp, reachable at gen 16.

Hmm odd, on my character page on c-rpg.net under the Retirement tab it says: Your character gains a generation. For each generation you get 100 XP more per tick.

Have they just not updated it yet?

Yes, that's the old bonus before the last patch.

Sorry for necroing this, but it looked like the right place to post my question:
When retiring on lvl 31, you have the ability to heirloom an item. Now if I don't heirloom any item, do I get an heirloom point or such?

If you retire without selecting an item, you wont keep a "point".

If you want to sell an heirloom point, you must get an interested player to send an item to you which you then heirloom for them and sell back.

I guess i should include some info like this in the OP.

You do get a point AFAIK. You can just retire and not immediately heirloom stuff, I clearly remember heirlooming something without retiring.

I don't think you get it. You probably remember the loom point from the reset.

Yes after reset it gives you a point. But you must choose an item to heirloom, in order to retire. Tested, just yesterday.
I think it should be changed to keeping an heirloom point while retiring. Because if you are jumping on a new build you might make a mistake, before finding your favourite weapon.
