The arbalest is still and will probably always be the best crossbow for a dedicated crossbowman who likes to kill people from a far or up close with just one bolt

dunno with 70 body armor and 6 if 1 bolt took 90% of my health from a body shot so dont think anything is has changed..

I think it has more to do with archers getting god buff on their ak47´s bows with armor piercing Depleted uranium arrows......

A loomed rus bow with bodkins and 7 pd is a Arbelest on steroids

Seriously though, I do think Tzar's right on this one (even though he's exaggerating). Archers do deal really high damage now.

And the answer is the same for DGS or Arbalest. The cRPG market is the same as RL markets and fluctuates in a similar manner. There is currently a down speculation on DGS and various other objects for no reason, except that because it happens it will probably continue in the future. Until it stops abruptly because people stop thinking the price will continue to fall.

The reason there are so many arbalest's and DGS's on the market is not because they're underpowered, it's because they're fashion weapons. It's what people get when they want to play 2h / xbow. When they get bored with that class, they put up that weapon for sale.

nah i also go cav, arbalest is just boring, not so much good maps for it to be top and when it is rain you can just exit game))

I always prefer the regular crossbow for my xbow builds, for speed and ability to carry more effective sidearms.

The arbalest isn't useless, it just isn't for everyone, and thus has a high turnover rate, I'd imagine.

No, it's fine, on my 'xbow' alt, which is really a hybrid, with only 100 xbow prof, I kill plenty of people with it even at long range I can hit people with that wpf, not 100% of time of course, but often and it really hurts them.
