i never made such a statement, ofc the sensorship part is immoral. just made the comment to point out alot of american games have a patriotic perspective. and one can always wonder if money is being pumped into the businesses to make them that way.

Of course it is, from the people who buy them. Murica! Fuck yeah!

The difference here is that we don't need the government to tell us to be patriotic, or more to the point, to force us to be patriotic. We don't need no propaganda.

Actually, propaganda is exactly the reason why you are so patriotic. It's just not enforced.

You keep telling yourself that. Rich people don't need to be told to be happy that they are rich. Americans don't need to be told to be happy we live here.

I live in one of the richest countries in the world, yet kids in school don't have to hang a flag or chant the national anthem. Hell they don't even know it.

Being happy to live somewhere does not imply patriotism. If you really think there isn't an above-average propaganda in American media compared to other developed countries, you have probably never been abroad for a longer time. It goes far, and deep. I once had an English teacher from America who, at the start of his first semester, was of the opinion American media is the most objective and neutral media in the world. At the end of the semester, he wasn't of this opinion any more. I find this very concerning, that even the supposedly educated people are not aware of this fact.

a lot of "smart" people know the media(on all sides) is biased as hell. It's only the "dumb" people who don't. Sadly, that's a large majority of Americans. I do tend to find most American sources to be slightly less biased on certain catagories than their EU counterparts, and vice versa, depending on the subject.

News is nothing more than a propaganda machine, regardless of the country.
