Sorry to interrupt, but what happened to the "must post an unban request to be unbanned?" I think that was a very good thing so that people actually get to know why they were banned and learn not to do it again.

That would be if the ban were permanent or typed in as permanent. 7day bans last 7days, or may be released earlier if the accused posts an unban request.
