Problems with my hosted server

I just started to host a simple c-RPG server for friends/clan to practice on, but I'm having some issues I haven't been able to find a resolution for.

I have the private password set, yet anyone can just log in and I don't know why.  Also, some keyboard buttons like m, n, b and h do weird things in the game.  H spawns stuff, m n and b do stuff with maps... and it seems anyone who logs in is able to use this stuff.  I have a server admin password set and if I log in using that password I get the administrator control panel, but I can't type in the panel due to the previous m/n/h/b problem... those take prescendence over the admin window and it does shit as I try to type.

Anyone know a fix for this?  can I disable those keyboard commands?  How can I get the private password working?

there are plenty of how tos for server hosting.
As for keys doing things, sounds like you opened the wrong game mode.
