Lending Items

I was having this thought earlier today, just wanted to see what the community thought about it.

What if people could lend items to each other like weaponry or armour for a certain amount of time and for some gold of course. It could help a person have a clear judgement on what they want to buy eventually so they don't waste money finding out they don't like the item and selling it for half the price it was worth. You could also lend items to alternate characters or clan mates or friends who don't have the money to afford the items yet. Maybe you could just try out some +3 items for the 'lulz' from some experience players.

So I wanted to see what you guys/girls thought about this idea.

Ofcourse, why not?

I think most clans do this a lot. Players going on vacation tend to lend their heirlooms to other players for example.

If this happens, there needs to be a gold sink tax involved, to limit endlessly repeated loans (paid for by the guy receiving the loaned item).

So the owner receives a fee, and the system eats a fee, both paid for by the recipient.

think the gold per loan should be optional.
