Anyone who played with lego bricks in his childhood is just about as able to assemble computer parts together imo.

Also it gets easier every time I have to get a PC together, these are made like that.  :)

Only thing you can really fuck up, are the jumpers imo.
But there are manuals, et cetera, et cetera.

Most of us are currently living off relatives, friends, parttime-jobs or savings, to be able to work as much and cheaply as possible.
