Please Add Converting Troops to Population Back

So if you take a castle in Strategus, players have found that the population takes a looong time to come back.  In the mean time, this nerfs the gold production per hour by the castle and what is available to people there working is also reduced.

Converting population to troops was removed for understandable reasons, as it led to ridiculously huge armies and gave other clans no chance to compete at production level.  But the other way around, should be brought back in.

The biggest example is cities.  No one has sieged a city/town/whatever you wanna call it yet.  With the current system, you'd kill 15-20k population just trying to take it, most likely the entire population.  Cities are a clan's main source of gold generation by players set to work there.  Once you kill all the population, gold income per hour will be nearly 0, and if these cities regenerate troops just as slowly as fiefs do, someone calculated it would take nearly 2 years(!!) to get back to 20k.  This would be remedied and balanced with adding troops to population back, and perhaps increasing the generation rate per hour for population (since you couldn't get those troops back out in case of a war.)

I say add convertint population to troops back too, but 10 population to get 1 troop.  This would make things more dynamic with people and clans being more active and dynamic battles going on instead of all this waiting around and micromanagement.

Why the fuck did you (Whichever bright and astute developer) even take this option out?

This mechanic is going to be one giant ass circle jerk loop of egocentric bullshit just like spawn flags, round and round ending up at the suggested conclusion but saving face, and even further making the developer who brought about these changes look like a fucking moron.

instead of all this waiting around and micromanagement.

strategus is not first and foremost a war simulation, it's a medieval simulation, war only happens sometimes.

Just trying to get your mindset in sync with the mind of a fucking retard who doesn't realize the current sub-mod he released IS a war simulator, and he should address it as such until he releases the new version the smartest man alive.

+1 for the OP.

It is a war mod.  If they want it to be treated as anything else, they should probably implement other aspects to the game.  I really do like the direction it's moving in, and like what I've heard for future plans, but as it stands right now, it's a war mod.  That certainly encompasses other aspects like diplomacy and trade relations (well just gold for troops and vice versa), but it's still a war mod in it's present form.

Hopefully the population in towns grows back faster than in castles, as it used to be in Strat#1. Average population growth in castles is appr 25 - 30 pop per 24h, and it MAY be exponential, not linear after all... still to be verified.
