Dehitay!
Chill pls.
1. The password is currently AFAIK communicated to everyone who clicks on the battle in the website. Not just to people accepted.
2. Also, not all battles have admins present.
3. I've read about that as well. But in my experience, It is not safe to test something "supposed" to work the first time, and especially not on a big battle like this was. So I decided to do it manually. I.ex we admins had the server reset function for 6+ months, but It never worked for me. Once I tried to change a map, and the server was automatically reduced to 60 players only. Had to call on irc to fix it. (So, yes as u said, I didn't want to simply assume that system actually works)
The system is currently set up to where only those accepted into a battle can see the password.
I've actually seen the server get passworded before, but I've never been part of the battle when that has happened. So I'm curious which admins have done this. And could they tell us exactly how well/badly it worked?
What exactly do you have to do to password a server? Since I've never been an admin on a Warband server, I just assumed it was something like type "/password on". Considering that the regular crpg servers auto-password without resetting, I don't see why you would have to reset a server to activate a password.
Also, the code that unpasswords a server would only take place after a battle is over, and would only affect the battle itself if somebody made a significant mistake while coding it. I don't think you would even need to do anything for it to work other than activate the password to begin with. The only possible problem I see is if the password that's listed on the battle page for accepted applicants doesn't match the actual password for the server. In which case, I hope some admin would have already suffered this problem and reported it.
