Ironclad - Great medival battle/siege movie

Is that Hodor's "willy" in the left edge of the pic ?  Or all Danes get that "excited" when they charge into battle ?

on the other side it looks like a good film

EDIT: i just watched the film, its TERRIBLE, except from the fighting, the plot sucks really hard ! Also, why the hell didnt the templar close the gate after he woke up, instead he did get his horse and fails(HARD)

It is unhistorical, its unrealistic, its low budget. Danes seem to be speaking gibberish, not Danish.

Battles do look nice, as in gory, but poorly shot for the most part

Watchable if you are hungry for medieval theme, but was too predictable and unimaginative for me to enjoy.

    Errors in geography: The film shows Rochester Castle standing next to a bridge in a totally empty moorland landscape. In fact the castle was (and is) on the edge of the City of Rochester, which was already a thousand years old at the time of the siege, and right next to it is the great 11th-century cathedral of Rochester. On the other side of the bridge was (and is) the town of Strood, plus a number of smaller settlements.

    Anachronisms: King John's mercenaries are a band of "pagan Danes" several hundred years after the whole of Denmark was converted to Christianity.

    Anachronisms: The Templar hero has a 5-1/2 foot two-hand sword, something which didn't exist in the 13th century.

    Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): King John's mercenaries, the band of ''pagan Danes'' are actually talking in Hungarian, not Danish.

    Factual errors: In 1215, Rochester was already a sizable city. When Rochester castle is seen in the film, there is no sign of the dwellings that would have comprised the city, nor of the cathedral, which is a massive building, situated about one hundred yards from the castle. The cathedral was looted by King John's forces, during the siege.

The cinema version of kingdom of heaven was terrible, but the longer directors cut actually makes sense. Epic film. See it again.
