Stumbled upon this today. Looks... surprisingly okay? Hard to believe that someone has actually gone and created a working successor to STALKER. Or, well, is creating, since this is still in early access.

Thoughts?

I think the armor worn by the characters in the trailer is stupid, looks like some anime shit.
Also, haven't been excited for any TW game since the disaster that was (and still is) Rome 2, with the exception of Warhammer. The way they fucked up combat by giving regular units hitpoints is just... awful. Simply doesn't work for a non-fantastical setting and this doesn't seem like it will have mythical creatures and the like.

Too bad, i think the setting is totally awesome and underexplored in games :(

Hey, have you guys heard of this game? Looks pretty interesting.

Anyone else playing this? The game is totally awesome, don't think you even have to be a WH40k fanboy to appreciate it :)

PS: Eldar are the best!

So, after trying to do a few more playthroughs of Skyrim, i've decided to go back to Oblivion. Just not getting any actual RPG experience out of Skyrim :/

Anyways, before jumping into it, i guess i need to stock up on a whole bunch of mods... that i know nothing of. So... perhaps some of you have played Oblivion recently and can recommend something to start off with?

I'm interested in graphical enhancement stuff, whatever removes levelling enemies, extra content, that is balanced and other enhancements and additions. Not interested in any conversion mods or "adult" mods.

General Off Topic / Finally building a new gaming beast - need some advice
« on: November 20, 2014, 11:21:32 pm »
A couple of questions, that i didn't really figure out by myself:
  • Planning on getting a GTX 980 - but there's a whole bunch of variants for this, with greatly varying prices. Which one would be best? Was reading reviews about Zotac AMP!, some say it's awesome, other's say it's meh.
  • Going for DDR3 memory, since DDR4 (together with a mobo and CPU to support it) seems way of an overkill. Going for 8GB initially, might upgrade later - is it worth it to go above 1866Mhz memory?

Might have more questions later. Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / End to gold sinks
« on: September 26, 2014, 08:16:35 pm »
It's no secret that nowadays the population of cRPG is getting really low. Also, it is no secret, that all the things that were implemented for the purpose of being gold sinks have failed at decreasing the amount of gold in the game. So, maybe it is time to make these features more available to the public?

The things i'm talking about - respecs, loom exchanges and blacksmithing services. Especially the loom exchange becoming more available would be a good thing, imo.
