For those of you who cannot open the game because you are using steam. Download 1.143 the whole thing (580 mb +) will takes more than a hour. So download this instead  (10 mb) and put it in your steam warband folder just like mine:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\mountblade warband. Paste it there and overwrite everything, use steam to open the game problem solved.

Also make sure you disable auto update for warband, to do this. Open steam, right click warband, press update and turn it off.

cRPG Technical problems / Error: Unable to connect to server

Been away from the game for a long time now and trying to get back into it. Now fully updated but cannot connect to any servers, either get the message that the server is running an older version or that I simply cannot connect.
Help please??

Turns out just decided to rejoin during a shit patch period problem solved.

Re-re-edit: Tried all methods to fix the update errors (including installing a non steam copy  ) still same problem and message any suggestions please??
