Suggestions Corner / Re: Bump with horse ennemie

I believe the inability to bumpslash is intentional, and an addition from a patch.
See: http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,16109.0.html
Also, this seems more like a bug report than a suggestion, but I'm not 100% still on what you're saying.

King: *From atop his high soapbox* "The Blorks are invading from Blorklavad!"
Crowd: *Boos*
King: "We shall build a castle!"
Crowd: *Cheers*
King: "It shall be strong, and have wall that cannot fail!"
Crowd: *Cheers and whistles*
King: "We shall build a gate allowing our calvary to ride out and meet the invaders!"
Crowd: *Exuberance and fanfare*
King: "I'll let you decide who gets to open and close the gate during battles!"
Crowd: *stunted cheering while looking at each other*
King: "It'd be best if we don't have an overlook on the gate in case it's raining during the attack!"
Crowd: *Look up at the king*
King: "Also, I'd like a flimsy back door to the castle, 12-20 hits with a small sword outta take it down."
Crowd: *group /facepalm*
King: "And... sell all our boiling vats of oil to buy some ladders, need em strewn about the walls for aesthetics."

Really, we're limited by the game's design. But sometimes I can't help but imagine the thought process in map design. Usually... when I'm losing on defense.

Did this get talked to death? Or forgotten? Assist stat in line with the k/D stats?

I had this happen last night. There's instructions for how to handle it on the c-rpg.net login page.

1. Get in game (Mount & Blade Crpg mode)
2. Log in as a character on one of the servers (not sure if it needs to be a specific one. I was on NA official1)
3. Through the Q menu, you can select password reset.
4. confirm it following instructions on the screen (they show up in private chat to you in game)
5. wait for the text that gives you your new 'reset' password (mine was a 4 digit number)
6. Go to C-rpg.net and login using the character name you just played as, and the new password
7. CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD once logged in for security.

I think these are all the steps... I may have missed one because of poor memory.

First round is a crap shoot for balance... and if you removed the upkeep, everyone would be dressed in their Sunday best.
It'd be pretty impressive to see at each new map rotation. I voted yes.

sylentknyte,

Your quote, of me, was referring to a different thread, not this one. Do you get tired of assuming incorrectly?
I've not stopped being gracious to you, but you continue to be an absolute dotard to me, and anyone else in the community who has a different opinion than you.
Case and point, your original ban request thread: http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,15815.0.html

You so far, have accused me of being a tker - you also call me a liar? And you accuse me of 'fancy bullshit'? Apparently you also have a problem with the way I communicate.
Maybe you should take a second, and think. Considering your past in this community, should you really be throwing stones?
A quick rundown of all your posts on this forum -> http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=10689

STOP HARRASING ME, and badgering me on the forums and online. Read the rules and STOP!

Sincerely,
Venrich

Closed Requests / Unban request | Venrich_III (Venrich)
« on: September 16, 2011, 04:40:44 pm »
I was banned for 24 hours yesterday, a tk that was deemed intentional to force a 1v1 duel.

I am requesting an unban slightly early (like by 5pm PST) so I can play tonight (Friday) and through the weekend.

Original ban thread (for additional information): http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,15815.0.html

Thanks,
Venrich

It makes sense practically. Would that type of class balance take precedence over banner balance?

besides a bash, shields also need a stronger/wider 'shove' move to push people away or back

Yes! I love the idea of having a little 'push power' behind a shield. Just enough to nudge (Very slowly) forward with a peice of gear that likely weighs 50+ pounds - seems to make sense.

Gear - I don't remember the name of the team mate I accidently TKed. KEKEKEK was the enemy player left alive. Sorry, not much help there.

Smellmyfinger,
I have no issues with Digglez. I don't know him. It's his point of view that the TK was intentional. Whether I agree or not has little weight to these affairs. His point of view does not 'confirm' anything. I won't start slinging mud just because what Digglez says doesn't mirror what I said happened.

You on the other hand, Smellmyfinger, have been very rude and coarse since I first met you last night. It continues on these forums, no matter how civil I treat you. I feel like you've blown a single TK far out of porportion because of your personal beliefs. I have never had any issues with the community until you, last night.

I'm done checking this thread. I'm asking you to not badger me any more online. Whether there's a ban applied or not, put this behind you please.

My thanks to the community for the chance to say my peace.

Sincerely,
Venrich

Smellmyfinger/sylentknyte,

I'm not a well-known player.
I'm not really that great of a player.
I don't know the community that well.

You made a lot of assumtions that were not correct - would you consider that you also perhaps were incorrect about my TK being intentional? I'm telling you that it was an accidental TK.

Regardless of the outcome of this event, at least consider that last part.

Sincerely,
Venrich

Gear,
The level demeanor is much appreciated. I don't know if any admins were present.

(For what it's worth from the mouth of the accused.) I will convey requested clarification from my POV.

At the end of the round in question, I and one other teammate were left against Kekekek (spelling?) from Chaos. It was a pitched fight with my cohert on horseback - and me, a sword and board, slightly seasoned infantry man. The attacks came to our enemy in waves, testing his/her manual block prowess again and again... to little effect. He/she had the skillz. I would move in - attack, block, attack and move out. Then my teammate would gallop in and try his hand.

And so it continued for some time.

Eventually, my shield in tatters, I attempted to back off from the enemy. In that attempt, I spun-swung backwards and slayed (to my shagrin) my closer than expected banner mate. I felt compelled to pause, and type the interjection "Crap" followed later by a "sry!". I proceeded to fight miserabaly and die in a puddle of my own fail.

Plainly and to the point...
I TKed. It was an accident to which I felt bad and apologized. Smellmyfinger saw it differently, and feels vengence is needed. I empathize with that feeling for balanced justice, but I did not appreciate the grief he gave in its wake.

Smelly, no hard feelings -- I would ask that next time you witness a TK, you make some consideration for it being a mistake. If you feel it warrants a Ban post in the forums, that is one thing. But badgering someone online for an hour is another. Don't besmirch someone so aggressively based on your POV.

Sincerely,
Venrich
