Buckler loses the main advantage of shield builds - range protection, it's also difficult to defend against several enemies with such a small shield.

But it's light and has style.

I've never really had a problem with archers (I stick behind big dudes with shields) I just use it for autoblock mainly. With high athletics multiple enemies aren't a problem.

What about using a buckler? I am planning on going long espada/buckler, or side sword/buckler depending on how the swords feel.
