I hope that i haven't spoken to soon, but opening the ports on my router seems to have helped significantly. The improvement  could just be situational and there is just less drag on the servers, but i'll find out soon enough

I dont know if it was the recent patch, and frankly i dont care because i had this problem before that. What i do care about is my family paying 150$ a month to the 3rd best ISP in my area for a 50 mb internet connection with a helluva router, and still i ping the na servers in Chicago at an average of 150.  Any suggestions other than moving to Chicago,  or changing to fiber optics are welcome. my ridiculous ping makes melee combat frustrating, and it is currently the barrier preventing me from becoming any better at the game. I love crpg and generally like its community, so i dont really plan on leaving any time soon.

I think the addition of a respec for the jump to 30 would prevent a lot of hassle, i myself have made at least 12 of these characters since it was possible. Allowing you to redo your skill points alone would reduce a lot of these remakes i imagine. i don't know how people would react if you could just redo your character over and over but the this would still be to a disadvantage because you do not receive the 10000 gold each time, but still, deleting and restarting does turn into quite an ordeal after the 13th time.

When the main site was down for the whole day i still played the majority of the day, but consistently i noticed i was losing money and xp that i had earned throughout the course of the day. although i am rather new i DO know about repair cost and there was no way that the 333 gold repair cost of my longsword and the 20 repair cost of my mail coif could account for the 3000$ that disappeared in between matches along with about 100,00 xp points.
