Joker makes a very good point. Jump throwing re-added after the next server restart (tonight, if I don't forget).
EDIT: actually, gonna do it on the new server.

It seems to be enabled on NA, but its bugged.  Not sure if you guys are aware of this or not.  When you jump with your throw ready the player model hitches badly.  So it seems to be turned on, but not really usable at the moment.

I tried to give troops to a town and hit the submit button twice.  I now have -51 troops, and am unable to move. 

Any ideas?  Will provide more information to developers if needed.

Admittedly MW strongbow + MW arrows = 32 cut, then add in the 6 powerdraw.  But not every archer has that setup so probably only 30 cut if they have 4 heirloom points (1 for a large bag to get it up to 27 arrows) worth, thats only 3 to 4 less damage (2 + 1 to 2 from powerdraw bonus).  It takes 1 extra arrow to kill someone, or headshots, did 3 consecutive headshots earlier today and every 1 is a kill despite decent helmets.  It takes me 9-10 arrows to kill someone in 3x loomed plate with strength build, but when facing someone like that your main role is to shoot them as they are being hammered on by your melee allies.  I would say 60% of my kills are from melee, but only 30% of the people I wound.  If you have to have the glory of being the one to kill them with your bow, probably won't be the best way to go, but if you want to be a good support character while still being able to fully defend yourself when enemies inevitably get near you, then it works out quite well.  I have to say it is really nice to have a good melee weapon and rather than get in prolonged archer duels sometimes while your team is getting decimated elsewhere or an enemy hits you from the side or back, you can just duck and weave (most archers arrows are really easy toa void if you are aware of them targeting you adn there are not too many archers at once) and get up close and kill them in 1 slice maybe 2 at the most in their light armor.

Of course also with this build as a hybrid I put 124 wpf in 2h and wear 9.5 weight body armor, .5 weight gloves, .8 weight boots, and 1.5 weight helmet so most archers melee weapons dont do much damage at all (though my weight in gear makes my effective archery wpf 127).  I keep debating respeccing to a dedicated archer, but its really nice to just melee sometimes with decent stats.  I am starting to see more archers go this way instead of the opposite end of the spectrum, which is high athletics, pure archer who just runs away and shoots as someone gets close and repeats.  (The other day I saw an archer with a mallet, was fun to watch).

i am going a similiar build this gen. ( always had it on an alt. )  24/12( 2IF 8PS 4ATH 4RIDING 2HA 8PD 4WM ). All WPF in archery.  Gives me a little HA if i want it, but he's better on foot.  I like the same as Kesh, either a 2h of choice with 1 bag of arrows and strong bow, or 1slot 2hander like the messer, and 2 arrows.  Really, even 1 bag of bodkins if you wanted, is enough arrows with a good melee weapon.  I carry khergit. 

I also prefer being with the melee.  Its hard as you level, get stomped alot during the low ones.  But with level 30 with 8ps and a fast weapon, you can hold your own.

No matter your playstyle, if you try to be a good team player, most normal people are fine with whatever you play.

I agree with ranger bob.  If you go str extreme with a mauler, you will be slow as shit.   I like the second one better.

although with a back up 2h, the maul is great in crowds with high str.  :)

On my archer alt, I went str and put all my wpf into archery. 24/12.  8 PS and PD

I change my equip on my mood.   Default is strong bow, highland claymore, 1 slot for bodkins.  This build is for getting in there with the melee and doing work close range.  I like this alot.  Even with 1 wpf in 2h its still fun and effective to use the claymore.  Just need get used to the slower style melee, and you can get some good kills.  This is also plenty of arrows for this style.  Build wears light chain.

If im bored, i will switch to long or war bow and that 0 slot hammer.   Throw on some peasant garb and snipe.

He also has 4 riding and 2 HA, if you feel like horsing around.  2HA seems low, but i usually use a long sword on the horse anyways, unless other cav are bothering me.  When i retire I will probably ditch HA, and just use sword if i want to ride the horse.

Just an effective archery build in which you can use whatever weapon you like.  Hope that helps.  I like it so much im thinking of retiring main and building this.  :)

As to the point of spears not being as powerful as they should be in game - Theres two points to this.

One, even if you agree with this, there is of course game balance.

Two, I think they are quite powerful and fun in game.  Take walt for example with his long spear.  Theres also quite a lot of skilled war spear users.

Im playing a cav/polearm guy atm.  I love my light lance on horse OR on foot. I dont carry a back up weapon.  Spears are great fun.

maybe instead of this nonsence in duplicating mains etc, allow 1 test account linked to main to be eable to test builds(use the 30 lvl feautre) and use the stuff u got on ur main, limit it only to few servers so it woudnt not affect the game, ban it from strategus

Having 1 or 2 alt characters only servers, would be fun as shit using Mains selection of gear.  Break up the grind a bit from the mains.

You will be able to play strat with your instant 30, that's why it's forbiden for now.

You wouldnt be able to play strat with a character flagged as an alt, that you skipped to 30 on for fun.  There would still only be one main allowed.

In my opinion, it should be possible to use skip the fun on characters flagged alts on the same account.  All it does it keep players from getting bored with the main, and increase the life of the mod.

What the downside?  I don't understand limiting this feature.  You will always grind your main.
