We need to schedule a night when we can get as many people on at once for a scrim/training session.  I'd like it if you guys posted in here about what times would be best for you.

most the time Fridays for me, but with college its ify

I'd like to try doing some stuff like this just in the event of a zombie apocalypse just as a skill set to have in case. I'm sure there'd be no real shortage of tools but when stuff breaks down it's something that would be good to know.

try working on truck leaf springs, and NEVER EVER galvanized steel you forge that you will die in days

you can use charcoil, the lump stuff. but you will need alot of it. but a propain forge is were its at, and if you cant find a anvil then useing a cut railroad track works too

as for tools you can get that at a tracker supply store

check out this link http://www.anvilfire.com/ they got ALOT of great how toos

but finding a local school to take a class or two will be the best bet to learning how

will say again be very very careful about what you forge there is more then a few blacksmiths today that have died from metal fume fever by not understanding what iron there heating

Nice! That's badass I've always wanted to do something like that. Reminds me of a huge metallurgy project this guy did with 2 Japanese knives he made from scratch completely. Smelted the metal himself and everything.

*edit* Here's the link http://www.themysteryworld.com/2011/02/tatara-project-guy-makes-blade-out-of.html pretty awesome process considering that the guy goes deep into all the math and thought process behind all his decisions.

sweet link, norm i use rebar or spring steel and then beat the shit out of it till it shapes how i like it. rebar steel is ify cus one part can be great and a inch away can be shit. but spring steel is very good
