I'm gonna lock this. The community is finding ways to compromise. Obviously we would still love any cRPG teams to join (whaddup tkovvvv), but we've moved away from the direness of the situation :)

I dont get whats the big deal. Why not let the EU-s play the damn tournament, especially when there are people even willing to stick the server up for it? Are they so insecure, afraid of loosing or is there a legit good reason? What are those player frightened that when EUs show up they cant say things like "I am the 5th best player in NA" or getting a title of 11th best player in NA  or something is so important to them? :? Getting those titles isnt so grand when the overall number of competitors its lacking.

I agree completely. I honestly don't know why there's so much hate for them, but some people and clans just really hate playing with european teams. I think a lot of them are just unwilling to admit that some people can play better than them with high ping. Also many of the people against it are farther west, and are unwilling to play at 70-90 ping (which I think is stupid considering the EUs will be playing at 100+ anyway).

I stopped native two years Go after playing crpg. Native is awful

I happen to like both cRPG and Native. But lets leave discussion of what mod is better or worse out of this thread.

guys we could all play archers since archers are op there ^_^ PREPARE FOR SNIPE RAPE!

Aha, yes. cRPG archer team!!

Could be fun to do a few native scrims for old times sake.... ill try to see if i could get some TKoV interested

Yay Tristan!!!

Man, if anyone can get things happening, then its TKoV. They were always... interesting to play with if my memory serves me ;)

um...do we put up the Christo signal for this?  I think we might need to consult the dramaturge rulebook for native-driven NA drama.

Bah, links.
This:
http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,272185.0.html
should be the tournament thread. I fixed it in the OP, thanks.

And I know, Native drama has no place here, and dw I'm not trying to cause more drama. I just really don't want to see our already tiny community split up even more. The less people we have, the less we can enjoy ourselves, compete, host tournaments, and things like that. And the best way to keep everything together is just to get the most amount of people signed up for the NANL as I can, so thats what I'm trying to do. Thanks for your interest :)

Hi,
So I don't get to play on cRPG often, so I realize I'm not particularly well known over here. But I'm coming here because of a difficult position in Native Warband that our North American Community is facing right now.

Here's what happened:
After the previous battle tournament, the next one got started as its usual course. The NANL (North American Native League) was supposed to start, but some people did not like the ruleset and particularly didn't like that the NANL allowed european players to play, so they made their own tournament, which does not support getting east coast servers for EU players in the tournament. The fact is, our NA community is extremely small as it is, and any breaking it up will be catastrophic for the community.

Right now, we're in a sort of stalemate where many clans do not want to sign up for either tournament because they're afraid of supporting the one that doesn't get the most support in the end.

So I'm here asking if any players, any clan, etc, would be willing to make a team and sign up for the NANL (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,272185.0.html). Basically, if we can just start getting teams signing up, we'll be able to convince more teams to sign up, and just sorta snowball our way into fixing the schism. If we don't fix it, we're gonna end up with no tournament or 2 tournaments with like 4 teams each (which is pointlessly small. We're already a tiny community).

In addition, I think cRPG players in a Native tournament might be funnn :).

Please feel free to contact me if you're interested.

Beginner's Help and Guides / Help with MarketPlace

HaiHai!!

So, I'm going to be attempting to use the marketplace for the first time, and I've heard some horror stories of people getting gyped there, so I just wanted to clear up a few things.

If I want to trade my heirloom point, is this how I do it?

Go to Offers
Go to Add Trade
In the Top section, leave the item and gold part blank and just put a 1 in point
In the Bottom section, fill out what I want in return
Then click add

Is that right? Or is there a special procedure when doing heirloom points that I don't know about.

Also, if I make a trade like this, its impossible for someone to take my point without giving me the stuff I requested, right?

Thats about it. Thanks for now :)

General Information
Zendar is a group of players who enjoy playing together on pubs and are looking to get into strat. We have been playing together for a while, moving away from competitive native into cRPG. We long for times of old glory, so we resurrect Zendar from Mount and Blade v.950 (when it was stolen from us!) as our home. We fight for the Salt Mine!

Aims
Zendar seeks to be a fun community that's active in cRPG and strat. We hope to grow into a decent sized group that can create an enjoyable atmosphere. In cRPG, we're mostly looking to have some fun. In strat, we're hoping to figure out what the hell is actually going on, so we can jump in! :p

Communication
Communication is primarily centered around Mumble (http://mumble.sourceforge.net/). It has better quality than Ventrilo and Teamspeak, and it balances volumes for you by itself :) We'd really love if everyone had a mic, but we have a few people who don't have mics and it's ok. But being able to be in Mumble is kinda a must. We don't have a private forum, we talk mostly through being active on mumble. Very few of us are actually active on this forum, though we have a few people active on taleworlds forum. And a most of us use steam regularly. But mostly we just use mumble when we're online.

At the moment the mumble server is going to be private, but if you want the info, just PM me or find me on steam: redbaron24601

Recruiting
The recruitment process in Zendar is going to be pretty simple. You contact me, beer, or really anyone in the clan, and we get you set up on mumble. Then you play for us with a bit, and if we like you and you like us, you can join.
We're going to be looking for people with at least a grain of skill, or a willingness to learn.

Rules/Standards
No restrictions for armor or weapons, just use the banner (we'll be getting a custom one soon). Straw hats are extremely welcomed though.
For ingame, and on mumble, we're pretty cool with joking around. No problem raging at Horse Archers and calling them names. Just make sure people don't actually get offended. No RP necessary.

General Discussion / Re: Reason to invert attack direction?
« on: August 31, 2012, 06:03:51 am »
To swing your weapon to the right means you have to draw it back behind your left shoulder.  This corresponds to the left mouse move to start the swing.  Makes sense to me.

This. Especially because of holds. I always felt that the swing was the charge up of the attack, so it made sense that when I moved my sword to the left and held it, the sword stayed on the left, until I let go and then it swung right.

cRPG Technical problems / Server Problem
« on: August 31, 2012, 04:24:29 am »
Hi!
For some reason, my ping on all of the NA cRPG servers shot up to about 150. I checked playing on Native, and the servers gave me completely normal ping (33 in Chicago, etc.) I'm from the far east coast (easter than NYC), and the same thing is happening to another player in my clan from very east coast too. :/
