Yes, I don't want to be one of those guys :)

I used first person because, to be honest in my early M&B days I didn't even know 3rd person existed. (1.011) and so I went through life in first person. When I finally found out about 3rd person it was too late for me and I couldn't make the switch.

I love first person though, and find the FOV setting to be a tad more helpful. I usually keep it around 85-90. I also keep my mouse sensitivity at the max.

I think that having the FOV too high makes it even harder though

You guys just haven't played first person long enough to get the hang of it . I find no problem being near or at the top of the boards on just about every match and I play exclusively in 1st person. I have been since about 2008 when I first began playing. You simply have to get used to it, no it will never be as easy as 3rd person but the payoff for me is the intensity and challenge.

Good call, I had not seen that in all my time. Thanks for the link. But this only appears to be for chainmail, I was thinking of metals across the board.

General Discussion / Matching Metal Textures Mod(?)
« on: April 09, 2012, 05:30:14 am »
I've always been saddended that there are so many different shades and hues of plate metal and chain mail in this mod. But this is to be expected when so many great works of texturing have been done by different designers. I felt like it limits a picky player such as myself to work to match each piece of equipment to the rest. "Oh this helmet has dark chain mail so I can't wear the heraldic native surcoats." etc etc. And I've finally come to the point where I'd like to redo the metal shades and chain mail color schemes to match one another across the board. Although I'm unsure of which to base them all off:

Personally I like the dark chainmail from items such as the Pronoia Armor visitors can't see pics , please register or login

With the plate colorations similar to the Gothic Plate. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

So the end result would be something similar to this. Items that usually would not match each other, now would blend together. (These are just rough examples, I would work hard to match them up as best I could)

Suggestions Corner / Re: Highlander Armour

I LOL at the tard babies talking about this armor being out of period. We have shit from all over the damn spectrum. From like 800AD to 1600s. Especially with the new Black Armor that has been added. So anyone saying this is out of period needs to go back to school.

I don't understand how the Dejawolf great helms were added but somehow this was left out, which IMO is the best of the bunch. I'd love to see it included.

Okay seriously I get mad at this game too. But, just remember we're all dealing with the same bugs, glitches, etc etc. Breathe deep and easy, it is just a game after all. No matter how much we love/hate it.

Two Steps From Hell > I replaced the ingame music with their songs. Now even camping the flag on siege feels epic.

General Discussion / Re: CRPG has lost that luvin' feelin'

I agree Rusty. I am having those exact same feelings. The only way I know of to get over that hump is to take a break. I also find that each time I come back from a break, I seem to do better. Because if I'm feeling bored or burnt out, I just run into the fray and spam.
