Yea, the Heavy Great Sword is my favourite 2h weapon model, it's a shame it is completely outclassed in every way by other 2hers.

Increasing the weight to 5 and increasing the swing damage would be perfect imo, would make it my sword of choice then.

I didn't say anything about youtube (wtf?). I said that this technology has been around for some time - and there's good reason why it hasn't taken off like polygonal rendering has.

I don't recall saying I am against technological advancement, but this tech is less efficient than the tech it wants to replace.

I think I made my point quite clear - Polygons are capable of incredible levels of detail, and are not made obsolete by this 'new' tech.

Actually it's not new, this tech has been around for quite some time. This particular company have been trying to get funding for this project for at least 8 years.

Did you notice that everything in that video is perfectly still, and that they only achieved 20 FPS with absolutely no animation?

Theoretically it is possible to animate, but current hardware is simply not capable of it (and probably not for quite some time).

Sure, it can make statics look great, but animating is impossible in this engine.
