in my early days in this mod, thats what I`m refering too.
I agree with this dude. i played this Mod since the beginning, and even I, who barely played/play had a full Milanese and Elegant poleaxe. That was the day when Tincans would just run into a crowd of people (since cash and xp were proximity to kill programed) and swing wildly with poleaxe or flammy and take out 3-4 guys before being put down.
Oh yea, and lets not forget Lady Gagas war elephant of doom. you dont see that anymore either, she was the epidemy of the tincan era
i dont think we want to go back to the era where 1 player can take out half of the other team just based off of equipment.

most underrated 1h sword is the Liuyedao.
MW Liu 103 speed, 88 reach, 34 slice, no stab (cause 1h stab is useless) and low upkeep. Better than the higher Tier Nuiyedao IMO.

« on: March 30, 2012, 10:21:18 pm »wasnt it better in the past?damn straight - it was the pimp shit of all weapons. Pretty much all the tin cans (including myself) used it. The main tactic was fly into a cluster fuck and run and swing in a mad frenzy, kill 3-4 guys and get killed. Ahh - those were the days. By the way, dying in the cluster was good, cause that's how you used to get xp and gold.

Huey, I once was a Cav like you - but that was long ago. I took a 9 month break from cRPG. I came back, a lot had changed but it was fresh again and no -one remembered who I was. It was wonderful.
During that time, I enjoyed other things life had to offer. Perhaps you are treating the game to seriously, and it's time for that 'vacation' (that 9 month vacation). Seriously, It will do you a world of good - you may not even come back - because your going to see everything with 20/20 vision.

Well for 1h shield, it's a different kinds of training. I would suggest you start with 2H/pole-arm.
When I started the game, I was a pole-arm (elegant poleaxe, back in the day it was the shiznit). Then I was lancer cav, and now I am 1h shield.
1h shield is more about focusing on how to get hits, rather then defending against them. If you have a good shield then your defense is sorted. For offense, since quite often your range is much shorter, and you move more slowly than other classes, it's all about timing your strikes, and using feint maneuvers to make openings in the enemies defense. So that, or taking a super fast blade, face hugging and spamming the shit out of your opponent.
