Is this still a thing?  Do you play strat?

Unfortunately we aren't in Strat yet, as we don't have enough active players and this latest patch has stopped our lord Rahl from even entering the game. I will get onto Teamspeak more often, I didn't think anyone was ever in there. I am glad to see interest from you, and you are free to come and hangout to see what the team is about before the mod updates and we are able to play again.

Sorry for the delay, The Lord Rahl will be pleased to see new people around though.

So.. Me, my brother, and a few people here keep having the same problems with the module, cannot load into a server without it kicking you and saying "download 4.5.0", and if you try to update the game or repair it, the error just says "No mirrors left." Did C-RPG just die for a bunch of people and nobody is saying anything about it? lmfao, any help on this issue would be appreciated.. I'm hoping this doesn't last long.

First I couldn't join servers, the game just crashed, then I tried to repair the game, play with or without wse2 beta.. but it didnt work at all.

Finally, I deleted crpg modules folder, and now i cant even download the game :/ 

Is there a way to fix this issue?

The D'Haran Empire

There are guilds for fighters, for mercenaries, for assassins, for guards.  This is not one of them.  This is an Empire, a place for soldiers.  We are those who fight in formation, who march and follow orders as one, and who do not turn from battle.  We fight under the red banner of Rahl, and our loyalty is unquestioned.  Our goals are simple: we will conquer.  Carve the name of Rahl into your mind, join our bond of brotherhood, and conquer with us under the red banner.

The Book of Earth: Strategy

"Upon their mastery of the strategy and timing listed in the five books, you will be able to defeat ten men as easily as you could defeat one. When you have reached this point, will it not mean that you are invincible?"

    The strategies listed in this discipline or book relate to situations requiring different weapons and tactics, such as indoor weapons. The use of glaive-like naginata, great swords and spears are purely for the field, whereas the longsword and accompanying short-sword can be used in most environments, such as on horseback or in fierce battle. Put selfishness behind you, and make the four oaths of "The Warrior." The four oaths are; 1. Never be late, with respect to the way of the warrior. 2. Be useful to the lord. Be respectful to your family. 3. Get beyond "love" and "grief." 4. Exist for the good of men.
The way of strategy.

     "There are four ways men pass through life. As Gentlemen/Warriors. As Farmers. As Artisans. As Merchants.
The way of the Farmer uses agricultural instruments, and see's Springs through to Autumns with an eye on the changes of seasons.
The way of the Merchant. The wine maker obtains their ingredients and puts them to use to make their living. The Merchant is always to live, by taking profit.
The Gentleman warrior, carrying the weaponry of their way. The way of the warrior is to master the virtue of their weapons. If a gentleman dislikes strategy, they will not appreciate the benefit of weaponry, so must he not have a little taste for this?
The way of the Artisan. The way of the carpenter is to become proficient in the use of their tools. First to lay his plans with a true measure, and then preform their work as according to plan. Thus, he passes through life.
These are the four ways of the Gentleman, the Farmer, the Artisan, and the Merchant."

     Timing, is the core principle in strategy which is listed in the Earth Book. The idea of timing as explained within the Earth book is that you must be able to adapt your strategy to timing with your skill, in that you must know when to attack and when not to attack. "Timing is important in dancing and pipe or string music, for they are in rhythm only if timing is good. Timing and rhythm are also involved in the military arts, shooting bows and guns, and riding horses. In all skills and abilities there is timing.... There is timing in the whole life of the warrior, in his thriving and declining, in his harmony and discord. Similarly, there is timing in the Way of the merchant, in the rise and fall of capital. All things entail rising and falling timing. You must be able to discern this. In strategy there are various timing considerations. From the outset you must know the applicable timing and the inapplicable timing, and from among the large and small things and the fast and slow timings find the relevant timing, first seeing the distance timing and the background timing. This is the main thing in strategy. It is especially important to know the background timing, otherwise your strategy will become uncertain."

"In strategy your spiritual bearing must not be any different from normal. Both in fighting and in everyday life you should be determined though calm."

       Attitudes of Swordsmanship:
1. Upper
2. Middle
3. Lower
4. Right Side
5. Left Side
         The five attitudes of swordsmanship are referred to as the five classifications of areas for attack on the human body. These are areas which are noted for their advantages when striking at an enemy, and the strategist is said to think of them when in situations where, for any reason, you should not be able to strike them. Then his mind should adjust accordingly. "Your attitude should be large or small according to the situation. Upper, Lower and Middle attitudes are decisive. Left Side and Right Side attitudes are fluid. Left and Right attitudes should be used if there is an obstruction overhead or to one side. The decision to use Left or Right depends on the place."

        "Flowing Water Cut" technique refers to if you come into a fight with an enemy of a similar level to you in swordsmanship. When attacking fast, you will always be at stalemate, so like Stagnant water, you must cut as slowly as possible with your long sword. At the beginning of this technique you and your opponent will be searching for an opening within each other's defense. When your opponent either tries to push off your sword, or to hasten back as to disengage it, you must first expand your whole body and your mind. By moving your body first and then that of your sword, you will be able to strike powerfully and broadly with a movement that seems to reflect the natural flow of water. Ease and confidence will be attained when this technique is continuously practiced upon.

"Continuous Cut" refers to when you are again faced with stalemate within a duel, where your swords are clasped together. In one motion, when your sword springs away from theirs. Use this as a continuous motion to slash their head, body, and legs.

"Fire and Stone's Cut" refers to when your swords clash together. Without raising your sword, you cut as strongly as possible. This means cutting quickly with hands, body, and legs.

"Red Leaves Cut" refers to knocking down the enemy's long sword in the spirit of the "No Design, No Conception" cut.

"This is the most important method of hitting. It is often used. You must train hard to understand it."

The Book of Fire: Placement

"You must look down on the enemy, and take up your attitude on slightly higher places."

       The dependence of location is crucial. You must be in a place where man-made objects such as buildings, towers, castles, and such do not obstruct your view, as well as facing or standing in a position where the sun or moon does not affect your vision. This is purely so that your vision is focused on nothing but the enemy, and thus there is more concentration upon the enemy's stratagems. Use the age old strategy of the Higher Ground.
       
          Other kinds of tactics to ensure that the enemy is at a disadvantage. Forcing yourself on the non-dominant side of a trooper is one way because the left side is difficult for a right-handed soldier. Other disadvantages, such as forcing enemies into footholds, swamps, ditches, and other difficult terrain, force the enemy to be uncertain of his situation. "These things cannot be clearly explained in words. You must research what is written here. In these three ways of forestalling, you must judge the situation. This does not mean that you always attack first; but if the enemy attacks first you can lead him around. In strategy, you have effectively won when you forestall the enemy, so you must train well to attain this"

       Whereas most of the information given in the previous books is useful in such a way that it could still be applicable today, this book is primarily concerned with the specific details about other strategies that existed at the time. The broader lesson from this book is that an important part of understanding your own way is to understand the way of your opponent as precisely as possible. "In the void is virtue, and no evil. Wisdom has existence, principle has existence, the Way has existence, spirit is nothingness."

D'Hara is the east most land of the New World, which is far off across the ocean from Caladria, so only few have ever seen it. It is ruled by the gifted Lord Rahl and has been since the time of the Great War. The people of D'Hara are bonded to their Lord Rahl, protecting them from the powers of a dream walker, though they must be loyal to him for the bond to be of any use. Full blooded D'Haran's are usually blonde of hair and blue of eye. In full blooded D'Harans the bond to the Lord Rahl is stronger, giving them a more powerful sense of in what direction he is in, though it protects them from dream walkers all the same. D'Hara was a great and powerful land, and since they were, they needed all the land they could get. So the D'Haran Legion set sail across the seas towards Caladria.

  Like a hurricane the D'Haran Legions crashed into Caladria, wiping aside armies and forces with ease as vast numbers of soldiers did what they knew best and conquered all in their path.  Numerous, strong, and filled with a lust for battle, the D'Haran's seemed unstoppable.  In the name of Rahl, their master, they conquered the majority of the Rhodok lands, sweeping aside all opposition with a speed that rivaled armies ten times their size.  Yet, as inevitably happens to all who seem near to conquering the world, an alliance was formed of those both weak and strong from far and near across Caladria and that alliance pushed them back to the sea.  There they were slaughtered and dispersed.  The mountain passes that had been used to allow the initial invasion were sealed by engineers from the nations of Caladria, and it seemed the threat of D'Haran invasion had passed.

 The D'Haran threat never died.  It only slumbered.  The shattered remnants of the first legions bore children, and those children bore children of their own.  And even though the old D'Harans left their kin behind, their numbers still grew plentiful, and once more the need for conquest calls to them.  Once more the D'Haran menace descends upon Caladria, this time as an Empire, and their march shall be swift and bloody.

We have an infantry base, but horses are permitted for cav or mounted infantry fists.  However, all D'Harans must know how to fight on the ground first.  If you fall off your horse, you are expected to keep fighting, not go searching for a new one.

The Devotion

The devotion is a pledge to the Lord Rahl of D'Hara, and is a powerful way for him to win and control the masses It was originally created by Alric Rahl as a defense against the power of the Dream walker that was created in the Great War. It has since then been passed down through the generations of gifted Lord Rahl.

D'Haran's living at the People's Palace go to devotion twice a day for two hours at a time (once in the mid-morning and again at evening). The only ones exempt from this are the guards on duty at the time. While in the field though the devotion needs only to be said three times when confirming a Lord Rahl. The devotion is also used as a greeting to the Lord Rahl in some instances.

"Master Rahl guide us. Master Rahl teach us. Master Rahl protect us. In your light we thrive. In your mercy we are sheltered. In your wisdom we are humbled. We live only to serve you. Our lives are yours."

We are always looking for new D'Haran soldiers and recruits, we are willing to offer training and support to any new members and allow good members to go straight to the D'Haran groups. D'Hara is not an immature trolling clan, and trolling or putting down other clans will not be accepted. Even if another clan says something rude or hostile to us, If you can't think of anything smart or polite to say, don't say anything at all.

If you want to join D'Hara, then you should:
1: Go into our TeamSpeak and poke a D'Haran for information, or PM either Memento_Mori , Anders or Argoth on the Crpg forum.
2: Apply to join for the D'Haran banner, and begin following our red flag towards a multiplier in-game.

The D'Haran Empire recruits are assigned to the regular forces or "Quads" of 4.
Each Quad is headed by a Sergeant, if anyone in a Quad has an issue with their group, or just doesn't want to be in a group, they only have to ask to be removed or swapped into a new one.

     -  Sergeants must be capable of defending themselves, and active often enough in-game to achieve their rank.
     -  Quads answer directly to the Lord Rahl himself, and will follow their assigned Sergeants commands in fights.
     -  Mord Sith must prove their abilities to guard the Lord Rahl as they see fit.

 The D'Haran Empire isn't only made up of soldiers or Quads, there are also Mord-Sith, who have the power to take the enemy's magic, and use it against them. Mord-Sith are trained from birth, to Kill and torture. Don't get them on the wrong side, or they will get angry. The only weapon they carry is an Agiel, which has the power to inflict unbearable pain or kill with only a touch. An Agiel appears simple. It is a plain red rod, about a foot long, and about as thick as a finger. It also inflicts pain on the Mord-Sith in charge of the torture. The main job of the Mord-Sith is to protect the Lord Rahl.

In order to advance to the rank of Captain or above one must be active on TS and the forums.  Sergeant is achievable simply through gameplay, however use of those communications methods is encouraged for all members and will help in all promotions. And remember, Your rank isn't your skill level, it is only to keep the D'Haran Empire organized, and together.
