I didnt realize 1/20 was high.  On the flip side, Australis has the highest savant to retard ratio

Leave our brave short bus cadets alone.

General Discussion / Re: Archers/Xbow users -- How do you aim? [poll]
« on: August 16, 2012, 10:46:58 am »
I tend to always shoot 1st person unless I happen to be in 3rd and suddenly have to shoot my xbow that instant.  I am perpetually switching from 3rd to 1st person and back again.  I shoot in 1st person and flip to 3rd person immediately after the shot, checking my surroundings and ready to melee while reloading.  In my opinion shooting in 1st person is by far the most accurate and meleeing in 3rd person allows you to have the most battlefield awareness.  If I ever decide to stream sometime, people would probably get dizzy just watching me.

Agreed. I also find it easier to lead shots in 1st person versus 3rd.

Suggestions Corner / Re: Duels for gold.
« on: August 04, 2012, 12:29:46 pm »
I was thinking about this earlier today. Since there's now a ranking system in place for duels, what if there were some kind of tournament that people could sign up for, say every three months or six months? The contestants could compete for gold, looms, whatever (heck, maybe even some kind of title like 'Champion of NA or EU') but it allows for other players to bet on the matches. Odds could be calculated based on their rating as a duelist. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a single elimination tourney with NA and EU running their own tournaments. The kicker would be a duel of champions which would pit the NA champ against the EU champ. In the interest of fairness, there'd be a best of three rounds, played out on both the NA and EU Duel Server. Obviously I haven't worked out all the kinks yet, but thats the point of the Suggestion Corner, right? What do you guys think?

Deprav could always counter-sue for slander and character assassination. I would be glad to offer him representation. I received my JD from Gudinovfer U Law School and am a partner at the Law Offices of Fukov and Dai. My fee is 150k a day, and I've never lost a case.

It sucks that you're no longer employed Dread. However, the upshot is that now whenever I log on, I'll be treated to the hot buttery aural massage that is your voice.

Well, seeing as Hawaii has been claimed twice, I guess I'll settle for third. On second thought, put me down for best two-hander/crossbowman on Oahu.

It feels like we've been penalized for going ranged. I play as a 2h/xbow user and see myself more in a support role than a frontline fighter. They should have left range alone or at least buff our accuracy if they're not going to buff damage.

So, for all the good that ranged now does in the game, can we have these added too?

No? Oh, they might smudge your armor? How inconsiderate of me.

.... oh, and circles are two dimensional.

The point being that the Bible simply stated the Earth was round at a time when most people thought it was flat, you cheeky little gnome.

I'm curious as to why people believe that science and religion are mutually exclusive?

I guess what it boils down to is if God exists, and he made everything, that would make us accountable to him. A notion that many can't accept. Just my personal belief.
