Tough choice between that one or this one:

hm.. instead the Great Khans text there should read "Deal with it" or something equally ridiculous phrase

Now everyone knows that the fastest way to know "what's what" and whats happening at the forums, is to go Tears of Destiny's profile, *click* Show posts and 'voila'.
So i have seen that profile like over year now (could be two but for sure over a year) and i think something is fishy. "The kid" does not age.

ToD might have a time machine parked on the backyard or maybe its a one of those weird anomalies you see on scifi, wormhole or something.
Or maybe its a fountain of youth? Oh, its an android, yep. Alien, maybe?

I am telling you people, keep a close eye on this "kid"!

Sincerely, Assarhaddon aka Sherlock

ps. Just realized that Fallen forum got "restarted", so i had to drop a line .. or two. *

pss. 'Jeeeyyah', allmost at the same clan.. party.. thingy, so i voted.

General Discussion / Re: The cav problem, Induced by GK
« on: September 10, 2012, 04:51:56 pm »
I was playing last night while this all happened, *snip*.. Last night as mentioned in the OP, the balance did however put all us GK's on the same team. Brilliant, I want to play together. It did also put maybe 3-4 other cav players on our team that I remember, most of whom weren't using a clan banner.

I was one of em .. and i have yet, not.. stopped.. laughing.

More serious note:
I was playing against the team that had "all cav" aswell, and our team won some, lost some. (No more than usual, neither way.)
Yet to see the problem as HUGE this post seems to paint.

And you fight like a dairy farmer.
How appropiate, you fight like a cow.

That brought back some memories.

General Discussion / Re: Facts and myths about Lancer cav
« on: July 05, 2012, 07:59:04 pm »
Try to do an angle on other cav where you "cross their t" so they can't hit your horse's head so easily but you can lance them.  Harder with angle nerf, but doable.  Also slow your horse down to a crawl when right about to engage so they release lance too early.  If horses ram into each other aim lance up and drag down to not glance.
yes and they fall under these ..
The obvious: timing, the length of your lance and turning your horse.

Excellent post, you earned your renown, +1.

Killing horse lancer: I can say obvious thing here. It’s risky! In my opinion too risky to do it after game starts. Hits are based by what server sees, not what you sees, so because of closing horses speed, sometimes I see I did everything perfectly, but server says that enemy just killed me, which is a bit depressing. I can still kill more lancers than I dies this way, but even with 60:40 ratio, it’s just too risky for me. So I’m trying to avoid other lancers, especially at the beginning of the round. I have plenty easier targets on the ground to take care of in this time.
My advice: Avoid if you can!

I do feel the need to comment this one, i wonder why?

Yes its risky and what the server sees, decide's who hits first aka you lag you die.
But there are few tricks you can do to tip the odd's on your favour.
The obvious: timing, the length of your lance and turning your horse.
(The last is no longer so obvious after the lance angle nerf, which i hate. I get the need to balance inf vs cav. But it removed one skill to master that separated "good lancers from bad".)

But there is still few more "tricks" the "good lancers" use.
One of em i learned from Oberyn and no he did not tell it to me, had to die like "billion" times to figure it out myself. (So quess, am i gonno say it out loud?)
There is one more i know, but i like to stay at the top of the food chain.
But 'they' are there, ever so subtle, working for us..

Sincerely, top of the food chain.

"Umbra, weary of countless fights. Seeking worthy death in combat." "A valiant warrior, and he has died in the manner of his choosing."

Thanks mate for all the great moments and fights together.
I know we will draw our weapons in the face of our enemies once again in the future, somewhere, sometime.

Untill then if you ever visit Solstheim, the island of Lokken, look me up at the mead hall and we will drink under the Bloodmoon, until the sun rises.

cRPG Technical problems / Re: Item replaced?
« on: June 17, 2012, 02:35:36 pm »
There is a bug with wrong items appearing in-game. We're working on it.

Any time table on that?

I dont have different item, i'm missing my light xbow (loomed) all together.
Dont show in-game at all, unless i select it as spawn gear. Then its shows correct, both in slots and gear selection.

edit: Latest patch has fixed the problem. Thank you.

I didn't mention anything about luring people into respectating.

Then what is this post?

I would like to see a lowered penelty to experience loss if you respectate at a higher level:

Level < 31: 50%
Level 31: 40%
Level 32: 30%
Level 33: 20%
Level 34: 15%
Level 35: 10% (180mil = 18mil xp loss = 2 normal generations)

Well, what about just giving 1 Heirloom Point for each ~8 Million xp (like normal retirement), so you wouldnt lose anything. Personally i'd consider retirement again with that

I think "many" of those high levels are like me, plenty of looms. I have specced 2 times to test builds, once near lvl 34 and the other at lvl 32.
But neither one was done for the looms or gold. Nor would i do it in the future.

BTW, our goal is not to lure them into retirement but to make it worthwhile for them if they want to do it.

err..  :?
Same thing?

A few hundred (which are active).

Well color me suprised.
But, that does explain the increase in "difficulty".

It's decent, but I play with music off anyway to be more aware of my surroundings.

Same.

Now that you can share gold/looms between characters, just make alt if you wanno play different "class" and dump your mains gold/looms into your alt. Why respec?
