I thought you couldnt make an account/character without a cd key? Personally I doubt most goons are dedicated to the goon cause enough to spend $20(?) on a game just becuase theres a thread in the SA forums. I know it wasn't  why i started playing crpg. And that likely applies to just about anyone, i know i cant walk up to someone and go "Hey, you should spend money on this and give me shit even if you dont like the game".

Wouldn't be trading/buying for about another 24-48 hours though, just looking to see what i can get by then.

Mostly looking to trade a MW long bow for them, if its something i dont particularly want or is fairly easy to come by you may need to add a little gold on top.

Its possible for me to maybe come up with some gold to flat out buy your stuff as well.

I bet if you did the exact same study among 15-35 year old gamers, the reaction time would be a lot lower.

I remember there being a study done at the first CPL i attended by a college student measuring the average reaction time of professional gamers in contrast to the average human reaction time. It had something to do with environmental influences on humans. Most of the people attending to play fps games reactions were between 70-120 ms; iirc the fastest average was ~60 after 25 consecutive tests and that was method. Granted pretty much everyone taking the test had above average reaction times compared to the average gamer, I would say that its safe to assume the average gamer is somewhere between 130-180 ms.

EDIT: On topic, stop whining about the servers going down, from what I understand from this thread its got nothing to do with Zealot personally. It seems like the fuckup was solely caused by some tech dude at the hosting center. And for those of you complaining about the relocation, while texas may be better for some its not for others. All in all chicago is a more central location especially if you include canadian players and not just the US, these are North American servers not US servers.

I just want to actually state this. You can only wear 9 heirlooms, and thats if you fill up all of your weapon slots and ride a horse, which typically only a horse archer will do. I don't really see the point in whining about "he has too many looms". If anything the old system was more noob friendly in that it would make heirlooms much cheaper than they are now.

While I agree that heirlooms should take some time to get the fact that it takes ~180-200 hours for a new player to make his first masterwork/lordly is probably a bit excessive.

The only downside is really that being gen 30+ would make leveling to 33+ significantly easier which probably isn't intended. Perhaps a solution to that is leaving leveling to 33 about the same as it is now, and then significantly increasing the path to 33+. That way there would be a slight advantage to older players and still would appease people who don't have as much time as others to play.

One difference in that battle might have been that there was a longer distance to the other faction and you where on foot holding shields, while the most other had at least a few cav that were at the enemy within seconds.

Also in the video of your battle it seems as if the defender is still spawning or just have finished spawing when you arrived at him. So there is almost no time for the defender to set up any formation with all its soldiers. That IS a big disadvantage, hence the fact that always the attacker gets into a defensive position right after start which is just stupid.

oh hey look, common sense  :idea:. I personally don't even care that much about losing our shit as of right now. I'm more upset that chadz doesn't think that its an issue that a team is capable of winning before the other team completely spawns (see LLJK vs whatever the third battle this morning was) we took their spawn when ~25 of them had actually spawned. The current system turns every attacking party into defenders currently unless there are barriers between the spawns as is the case with castles and cities or the spawn is an extremely long distance ( >120 seconds on foot) away from the defenders spawn.

No, I'm just assuming he was talking about the battle last night.  I don't know every single person's name on the forums, nor do I really care.  You sound angry and are being irrational (as are most of the people posting).  Try not to let emotions get involved, take a rest and a breather and come back and see if you're still as pissed off.

You know me from outside of warband, I've always been a pretty rational and level headed guy who's opinion is respected in other communities.  The scoreboard in the video backs up what we are saying and refutes what your side is saying.

I'm angry and irrational becuase you lack common sense. People like you are literally going to be the downfall of humanity.

No, you guys are bitching and complaining that you were beaten because it was "unfair" playing conditions.  You had every single opportunity that we did.  You bitched and complained about specific points.  I destroyed your points.  Now you resort to talking shit.  Good argumentative skills you have there.

And I'm saying that the attackers had the same opportunity.  They had everyone spawned in by the time our infantry marched over the hill.  Maybe the map needs to be larger on the battle maps.

clearly and the goons will forever maintain control of the desert becuase of their superior tactics used against every "unorganized peasant" that dares to attack until the spawns change.

Ask pecores/shogunate/templars about their battles this morning, im sure theyre just as upset as we are.

3 men on the ground? you are lying your ass off. I personally saw your whole team spawned before our infantry even came over the hill into your line of sight.  And the video that someone made backs that up (look at the 1:50-2:00 minute mark and you see him bring up the scoreboard).

you realize hes a euro that lost to LLJK and not from dfc right? are you sure youre not just flat out being fucking ignorant? becuase im pretty sure you are at this point.

4 was the most kills, I was 4-0 along with at least a half dozen others :P

mr boon you had 5 war horses and 2 saddle horses on your side circling your infantry (well the saddle horses were on your left flank).  i understand that it must be aggravating, but I can personally refute all the complaints your side is making.  I scouted (and was first to attack on cav) your right flank. 

if someone took an end game screenshot can you post it?

i had 5 kills. and we definately had no more than 3-4 horses of our 14 cav players. We also didnt even buy war horses or saddle horses, so i can refute your claim.

I think you're on crack good sir.  The attackers had basically as many people as the defenders when we attacked you guys across the open battle field.  It was a very small distance between us.  I was scouting your spawning, and when we did our first cavalry charge (right before the infantry hit you) you guys had 5 war horses and 2 saddle horsemen encircling your troops who were surrounding your spawn point.  You had at least 40 people in the mob before I ran through your ranks with my horseman. 

I honestly don't know what the problem is here.  So to quote a fine man:

/edit:  seriously stop bitching...dfc side had at least 40 people spawned...there was a massive blob of people unorganized huddle up, while the ats side was coordinated and attacking.  i only saw two naked people with large weapons on dfc side, most of them were equipped almost as well as our side.  You had fucking war horses...

//edit 2:  just watched the video you can clearly see when the guy hits tab for scoreboard that almost all of the dfc side had spawned in.  on a related note i got the first kill in battle :D  And to repeat about dfc's cav claims, you had 5 war horses and 2 saddle horses (that I saw).

I don't even care that i've known you for years at this point, you're clearly fucking retarded for not understanding that if you're a defender and have enough money to equip 2-3 spawns worth of troops you cannot possible lose a village/open field battle. LLJK proved this earlier with their 3 battles, we had 0 organization and worse or roughly the same gear as the attackers and won all 3 battles within 5 mins of spawning. And we managed to confirm the equipment bugs as well during the course of these battles. Strat is a fucking joke right now theres more or less 0 chance to take a village unless the spawn point is miles from the town. Basically at this point if you down own a fief you're more or less fucked until the spawn mechanics get changed.

Most of this thread isn't even about the dfc battle anymore, its about the consecutive LLJK victories this morning that exposed the system to be a complete joke. and if you actually read the thread you would know that.

Its been verified by chadz to be the intended way to be more skilled than your oponent. Basically if you want to win in strategus you only need 3 things

1.45-60 people to sign up to your battles
2. own a fief or play a defensive war
3.rush the attackers spawn every game and spam swings while tapping f repeatedly.

if you dont already own a fief, too fucking bad.

yes, almost all of our cav bugged and didnt spawn with horses. but its ok, apparently its not a bug and everyone that plays this mod that isnt chadz has the intelligence of a child with downs syndrome.
