General Discussion / I am a noob

I'm new. I'm trying to be a mage. I bought a staff but I can't fire anything but wind. I've seen people back off when I wave it around alot. I summoned a horse once! Sadly it crushed me...but it means I'm getting close. Today I pointed at someone in spawn and they dropped dead...if only I could figure out how to use this I would be unstoppable...hmmm
Maybe I need a bigger hat?
