How can such a clan fall apart by a decision of just one guy? Seriously? Was Byz just a fellowship of bannerstacking? I haven't had the impression. Sad though.

Feel free to join a clan, who is not just defined by crpg but by the people in the clan.

I don't think any weapon that has an effective range of a 100 meters and high accuracy should be able to one shot people in a no respawn game mode, even with a headshot.

This! I have nothing against a decline of average damage of missiles when shooting on longer distances, as it just reflects reality.
Accuracy levels are fine imo. It would be lame if a ranged guy can only have one 'dangerous' shot on a charging guy because he can't hit anything above 20m away. Some kind of covering fire still has to be possible. As said before, maybe not with the same amount of damage on long distances.

Imo the amount of headshot kills is just higher than usual body shot kills, because the mass of body shots don't kill people (just like no rules said). You can say 'nerf' as long as you want but even with my OP arbalest it is really difficult to achieve a one shot kill without hitting the head nowadays.

Hi again,

I read through some of your code log up there and tried to make a knowing face as if I were a pro hacker and understand everything. Then I made myself a sandwich and thought about how you could localize the exact problem. The things I say now are all some kind of "have you tried turning it off and on again" style. I hope that, if you write down more details, maybe one of the real pro hackers here could give you a hint about what to do.

-It alwas occurs when having x5. Does it also occur when you play without interface (so no lifebar, timer etc visible)? There is some kind of hotkey to deactivate all the stuff.
 If yes, it could be something with the font engine or so...

-Do you play with or without steam?

-I guess lower graphics don't help at this point. Worth a try anyway.

-Does it only occur when you have x5 or also after gaining a specific amount of xp?

Again I'm no pro, sorry.  I hope you'll find the solution.

Hi andreakarasho,

have you already tried the 'repair' button in the crpg launcher?
Today my game always crashed when joining Eu1. After repairing it with the launcher all went fine.
Maybe you have already tried it (if so I didn't want to insult you with obvious solutions :) )
But maybe it helps.

1. Headshotted a guy through his shield just a second before he'd have taken our flag from far away on the outer castle walls. This got me some fans following me on the next rounds :)

2. Do you know the scene where Mel Gibson eliminated a bunch of british soldiers in 'The Patriot'? I had the chance to do the same on my own against 7 coworking guys on battle. It was amazing to use some sniper tactics to fool them like changing your shooting place, whistle on the roofs and lure them in the wrong direction.

Hi, I'm Senior and a dedicated arbalester. You might know me out of movies like "Where is this sneaky xbow bastard" or "13 bolts 13 dead bodies".

To have a recognizable impact on a battle server with such a slow reloading animation, I figured out an algorithm for my targets:

Primary target: Some veery skilled player on the top of the enemy scoreboard. No matter if it's a ranged, 2h hero or cav.
Secondary targets: Other ranged guys, as they are the direct danger for a  (reloading) xbower. You can see Inf or cav charge you but you cannot always see bolts.
                                Also they are usually low armoured, so good candidates for 1 shots

So there is no wonder, why archers or in general ranged guys suffer a death from bolts.



Counter for xbow is btw no specific class. The most important thing for a crossbowman is cover and time. If you take him one or two of these things, he is just a 1her.

Siege of course (with more than 40 players). Battle is fine (with less than 40 players) but I like to have some story and tactics behind it.

No matter which terrain, the tactics on eu_1 is in general: Kill the enemy on the most effective way. There's no place to defend some special tower or a bridge or attack that beach. If you stay somewhere, you are often considered as ineffective or even a leecher only because you want to have some epicness.

In siege you can declare to defend this gate with your life(s) or take that tower on every price for the whole round.

And finally I love the HRE squatting when the yellow fellows special unit clashes into flag area and clears it like a pro or goes down in a flood of randomers or looks for an even enemy in a side skirmish vs greys.

Would be a nice adding. I am a leftie but for my model it is not that important to have a left handed character. You just live with it.
But there is a slight tactical point about left handed fighters.

Irl medieval time the stairs in a castle were all built in the same way (going clockwise upwards) so that right handed attackers can't make strong blows because of the spine of the stairs (hope the vocabulary fits here). So often a leftie was the first to attack upwards to be able to wield his sword without obstacles.

Of course buildings in crpg aren't blocking that realisticly but it would be a beginning to surprise an enemy by having a fast right-attack and a long reaching left-attack. (and ofc the HA thing mentioned before)

But I guess this is too much work to be implemented.
