Was  on my alt Foxglove.  Was shooting at a footman who turned out to be a teammate (Remnant_Lamk) that did NOT have the hovering team icon over his head.  Assumed he was fair game.  Few arrows and a swing at him and I was banned.  No warnings or anything...
