cRPG Technical problems / Alt -> Main?

So uh, my first character was pretty terrible, and then I made another guy and had no idea I couldn't switch main at a later date, and I am quite de-stoked that I cannot use my new character in strategus as a mercenary.. I have never even retired a character before, and I was wondering if there was any way I could somehow turn this alt that I enjoy into my main, I even deleted my old main trying to do it so I'm pretty out of luck at the moment.

Bonjour comrades, I am a shielder about to enter into my first retirement, looking for a faction that can help me hone my skills.

I am competent and can follow orders and look for an organized group that can utilize teamwork above all else, I will build to whatever is needed on the field of battle to yield great victory for whatever flag I fight under.
